Well it is 5:00 and I am not taking Sub. today.
Went to my Dr. and we agreed to stop.... I am so
happy ! I got a great Job yesterday too !
I am looking at this as a new Chapter of my life.
No matter what it can't be as bad as the last
chapter.
Congratulations, Marina! Good for you! I'm on sub, too and look forward to the day I can stop. You have done a wonderful thing for yourself -- go out and celebrate! And way to go on that new job!!

Now you have to live one day at a time and never be supprised by the smeakyness and confusion that this condition can present at the most normal of times or when you are at the least expecting it.

Day 2 no Sub. Yesterday was a breeze.
Today I woke up and had a little stomach cramping
" I think it is just a women thing/ not a sub thing ya know"
At this moment it has been
48 hours since my last dose of Sub. I am OKAY no
withdrawal or cravings. I can't wait to see what happens after my next 24 hours !
I will keep you all posted.

I started Sub Nov 11,2004 When I started I was taking 3 8 mgs a day
I was on so much cause when I was using I was taking around 30 hydro
a day. My Dr said anything over 30 the Sub. wasn't a successful treatment.
He told me yesterday I proved him wrong. Any way I started tapering about
2 weeks after I striated and took 1 mg away every 4-5 days. Until I got on a low
dose ( I should have done that slower, but it worked that way for me) Once
at 2 mgs a day I knida got stuck. I striated at 2 mgs for a few weeks I guess.
Then dropped down to 1. Then for a week I only took 1 mg every other day
After that I took 1/2 every other day.

yesterday I wanted to jump. See we need to take charge of our treatment no
matter what path we chose not anyone else it our bodies and our life's. Sub.
Dr's are still learning about this too. My Dr. admitted that I was a test subject
for him ( one of many)

Good Luck on your jump , Iam on day 9 of sub 4mgs today. I like the way you tapered , and plan to do something similar to it... Thanks for posting your taper.

I am not my doctor's first patient, but I am probably one of her first ten. So it's up to us to do the right thing and not abuse this drug, too...... How we do on sub may affect a drug addict in the future being able to get the help that we got.......
I liked your taper schedule...... At 6 months, my doctor is going to start tapering me and we are going to do it over 3-6 months, just like you did (though I am only going to be coming down from 8mg a day, not 24mg like you had to do). I'm going to write down your taper & see if she'll recommend us using that as a guideline to go by...

I hope to be where you are soon. I am on 2mg now and will start 1mg on Monday, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
