Hi everybody,
I'd be lying if I said everything was good.
My mom is going in for surgery to remove a tumor....and my dry addict of a fiance has relapsed on pain killers.
Mom has great doctors and good insurance so all I can do is turn it over.
And the fiance?....well what is to be expected when the disease goes untreated? He got a sponsor, and is now hitting daily meetings and is in an intensive out-patient program.
Thank God for the program. Meetings, other women, service work, journaling, praying , working with my sponsee....all are keeping my head above water sometimes just barely, but I can still breathe.
I think of you all often and hope all is well in your little corners of the world.
Love,
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, Praying for the Dr's hands that they will remove you Mom's tumor without any complications, glad she has Ins. Like you said about your bf a disease left untreated is relapse haven. Good for him getting into the solution quickly. Just don't forget to take care of you to. Wishing you a happy Easter. Love, Chris

Dear Carolyn
So sorry to hear of the turmoil in your life. I will keep you and your Mum in my prayers, I know how distressing it is dealing with such illness when it is your Mum.
My Mum was diagnosed with cancer about 6 weeks ago and it is incurable - so I do understand the chaotic emotions you must be feeling.
The best thing for me has been to really focus on the day - the minute I start future tripping I'm in trouble. Its hard to do, but it does work if you keep constantly reminding yourself. Let yourself feel all the emotions that come up. There's no right or wrong way to feel.
much love
