I have said many times that I read all the post that are posted. Some I dont agree with, some I think wow this person needs more then a message board and others I think right on. I know for me, it was tough to start opening up as to many people push what they think is the only way to get it--and when I say get it--I mean to understand what it is to be sober, to live sober, to like yourself to really dig deep and look really hard at what and who you are. It does not come easy. I am working at it after a year, and each day I feel better--I thing and I hope that I treat people better---I know I have bad days, and I know I mess up--but I try...and thats what counts.

After stopping the pills the work really starts--and work it is--but it is the kind of work that is different for each and everyone of us. For anyone to say that this is right and this is wrong, is not what we are here for--we are here to share what has worked for us--to lead by example--and to lend a hand and our hearts to those that need us.

I notice more and more this board is about ego, and and things of that nature--and please dont jump on me....I am not going after anyone wiht that comment--I am just thinking that if I walked away from this board last year--Sept 13 my first post---because if the constant bickering, I might be dead today.

I guess what I am saying is please if yoiu have time, think of the new comer, think what you say--understand they are new and are looking for the way to make a better life---offer help. Thats what time gives you--the gift to offer to others what you have.

Very well said. You sound like a very nice guy who is sensitive to others feelings . Really nice quality in a guy!!!! Newcomers should be reminded to take what they need and leave the rest!!! People who are having success in there recovery do tend to strongly defend their way and you cant blame them.....Maybe you should be the greeter here..LOL xoxo........Shel
