I'm in Oklahoma and it sucks here right now. Kinda. At least weather wise.
The good part is that I'm iced in with my wife and daughter. She's 19 and I haven't got to spend this much time with her in forever.
We're having a great time. We've been playing dumb games and sitting by the fire and having a lot of laughs. I do miss my grandbaby though. I just wish she was here with me. (I think she wishes she was with her papa too.)

It IS nice to be holed up with people you actually like but dont get to spend enough time with..all cozy and comfortable and safe from the outside enviroment...i love a good storm for that very reason. ( regular type storm)
Ill bet your grandbaby WOULD love to be there with you...she is just the sweetest looking child ive ever seen..

Hawk, I love being snowed in with my family with the fireplace going. We sit around and play Uno and other games and watch movies and make popcorn. It is so peaceful. Unforunately we have not had any snow except for a few flurries here in Ct. as of yet. I do however have the grandbabies for the long weekend but they are wearing me out. When I get to see my grandbaby, it's a great time in my life.

Well it's Martin Luther King day. It's not a holiday we normally close for, but with the weather here in Oklahoma, we may close. I haven't decided yet if I'll close.
I'm in the title business and the banks and courthouses are closed, so I'll probably give my employees a free day off.

I am sorry to hear that some of you have hunkered in due to the weather! However it is a great time to reconnect with family!
I on the other hand don't have that problem...it was so beautiful here today! Hawaii at its finest...not to hot....not to cold...just right! Beach was stunning...I really can't get enough..its literally a five minute walk or a 3 second drive from my home...we are so blessed.
Same beach but everyday but yet everyday its so different with its own every changing beauty. We have a high surf advisory right now so it was very busy today...with the "surfer dudes" as my granddaughter so lovingly calls them..

I made a delicious focacia bread dough before I left and now about to pop it in the oven with some fresh tomatoes and 3 cheeses on top...that with a fresh cucumber salad!! Starving here..will check back later...my it is slow here tonight!!

That's ok. Even though it is 25 and snowing, I'm flying outa here a week from tomorrow. We're going to New Orleans for a day and then getting on a big boat to Cozumel. I get to get the shorts out again.
