Its Brien. Felt really bad for last week, went to sub dr. He but me on Serax (oxazapam) mild benzo to treat drug/alcohol w/d. I take a 10mg twice a day. He said im still w/d way worse than what i should b. Having pain with kidneys (bad kidney disease w dads family, grndma, 2 uncles already dead b4 64yrs) and hard to go. Also said it would relax me so i could pee. I know its a bezo but hes at a loss. Im not justifying, but should i live in unneccarry discomfort/ dont wana use just wana live. Sure ill get crucified but trust ur opinion.

I have wondered where you have been and I have been so worried. I am sorry that you are going through this honey. Listen I want you to be very careful I know absolutely nothing about benzo's. I have never taken them for long. Only a couple of days during w/d...even after a couple of days, it took me days and days to sleep regularly.
Danny/Bullwinkle and perhaps others could give you some better advice on that issue.
What I can tell you is that I admire your courage and strength to get clean and remain that way. I know how hard you have worked and that you so want to protect that.
I agree with you 110% that every addict deserves a good life...a quality life...we suffer from a terrible condition but it doesn't mean that we don't deserve a good life.
Hold on ok....someone will be along shortly.
What does you Doctor say? Do you trust him/her? Can you get a second opinion? or even a third?

My sub doc has been the dr for one of the biggest inpatient centers in thid ares for 15 yrs. I trust him with my life and my family dr agrees. Also put me on Lexapro but makes me feel wierd. I trust them both. Great credintials. Thanks. It take 12 hrs to pee smtimes. It deffentally helps with my aches from 66 days of w/d even with sub, and i dont feel anything but am more relaxed to not bust blood vessles to pee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know there is a really nice man that posts here once in a while JW or JR with some numbers. So a search below, he was on methadone for a really long time and switched to sub. He didn't have a great time and was in w/d for a really long time.
I wish he would post! He was on alot of Methadone 400mg or something like that and tapered real low to do the switch but not low enough. He had precipitated w/d.

Thanks keekee if you ever see him on hear ask him to leave me a topic post. Goin to get a nap an then stay at a girls( not relationship) but i gota get smthng here and there. They only suggest relationships 4 a yr not sex for a yr!!!!!!!!!! Im 25 cut me some slack. Ex wife tried to kill herself cause i told her no way for a future. ate 30 xanax and a bout 15 long island. She's nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been a long week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
