I was wondering if there can be an addiction to ketamine or Special K? Can you point me to any web sites about this. My husband is using it as an antidepressant and I am worried about him.
why is he on it for depression? special k is a rapid-acting disassociative anesthetic, its used for children with sever burns and in dentistry. its being abused as a club drug. it cause the user to trip{like lsd} it can also cause a coma like state while high. it has a high abuse potential with severe psychic or physical dependence. it is a schedule ll drug {like cocaine} The effects of chronic use can last several months to 2 years. it can also cause flashbacks one year after the last use.
if he is trying to stop he needs medical help. its not a good idea to stop on his own.

ketamine may have a high addiction rate when misused and abused. however the FLASHBACK thing is MYTH. all a flash back is , is a intense vivid memory. it is caused, the memory recall, is due to stimuli that activates said memory. it is NOT DUE TO A DRUG. its teh same process of memory that brings up memoires of cookies and childhood etc, when choc chip cookies are smelled.

Hi all
I had ketamine a few times in clubs about 1991-2, and my Gosh! I couldn't move my arms or legs or anything!
I thought it was used as a tranquiliser for horses! (But I didn't know that when I took it)
Am I misinformed?

ketamine has many medical uses, from humans to animals. over all it was used in humans. and it still is used to this day in a medical setting
