BTW, we haven't formally made aquaintance. Hiya, Kitt I'm Brynn.
Someone else will explain better like maybe Jack or Mom And More or Misty Eyes or GYAC. I'll try though.
All of the above are East Coast including myself. Basically we rule. We rock. Unfortunately maybe we have more heroin addicts. Naw, can't be. I always think of it as West Coast is just California where all the beautiful people and movie stars live. I'm not good with geography, BUT:
East Coast is way obviously on the right hand side of the United States. That encompasses New York, Philly, DC, Maryland, Delaware. Oh shoot and like Maine and all. Somebody will give me a slap for forgetting that part.
O.K. then you go on the East Coast and start talking "Down South". To us Northerners that's an entirely different world. The very end is Florida. The Florida Keys to be exact. It's warm there and beautiful. Sooooooooo "Down South" then you go over to Arkansas and Georgia and whatnot. People are more congeneal there. Well, if ya live in a fairytale or a Tennessee Williams book. New Orleans is down there and that city I love.
West Coast again I just think of one great big place called California. San Fran is cool. Places like that. So now I confused you more. Probably it could have been summed up in two words, but I have a problem with brevity.
There's another poster from Scottland. Our Eckie D. I miss him. Hoping he is alright. For now will you beour resident all things Scottland? It's nice to have you here. All I know of Scottland is it looks clean and beautiful. I watch travel shows. No signs of anything but beauty in those shows.
To get ya even more confused- Bryn and I ,were talking about the West coast and east coast of Florida. The East having the Ocean and a younger population, and the West coast having the Gulf Of Mexico and the population is a bit older.
The whole country,East coast West coast rivalry thing was a Rapper/ Music/ Media creation- - I guess if you really want to know about it you can Google it up. BadBoy records and thier people were at odds with Death Row records and thier people. A couple of famous musicians got shot and killed- gangs got involved- and the US Media ran with it. Money,Violence, and sexy ladies- the ratings in all mediums were sky high for awhile!
I know I sound pretty hip, like I know what Im talking about- - but my kid was a teenager back then so he had it on the music TV stations all the time . To be truthful -everything I know about that I just wrote in 1 paragragh.

Canadians say stuff like: "Dewnt cha knoooooo?" and "You bettcha". If I said that I'd be calling some female or even a male a beotch.
Someone else will have to step in on this cause I'm murderin my bloody self here. LOL Nothing new. I just reread this and I am a loop. I'm also stereotyping.
Kitt, we have different accents all over the States as well. Kind of like compare a cockney accent to a whatever. Note people that live in the States up by Candada like in Michigan they also say "You bettcha".
Now. I got a Philly accent which would be way different than Mom and More's which is also different than Jack's. Like I say "New Yourkers". We say they say "New Yawkas" and Mom probably says it like well maybe a Kennedy would. Ya know like Boston people.

I think we're used to the generic american movie accent here y'all sound kinda similar lol the english cant understanf the scottish accent or the irish or the welsh lol
