Lack Of Energy Is Bumming Me Out

I just don't get it........I get burst of energy that last maybe an hour or so, then I am worn out...I didn't do a darn thing I wanted to this week end except carve pumpkin and lay on my a** watching movies.I know I have to get some today, Ihave so much stuff to get caught up on, laundry, dishes, ect.
I am feeling good, just can't seem to get the body to do as the brain wants to do...Is this normal??
Today is my 21 st day....
Dear Krazi:

I like that name - I call myself that so much to my sons - "your crazy Mother"
They probably made me this way.

I have read so much and asked so many questiions about energy b/c I thought I would never have any.
It was a month before I felt like it was coming back. They say if you exercise, it will come back sooner, I didn't feel like exercising.

I do drink lots od OJ now b/c it has so much more Potassium than the supplements. I drink 2 cups every morning. I have learned to really like it but I
know it's helping my energy. It's been 4 1/2 months and I have as much energy as I did before - not as much as I did in my 20's or 30's - but - who does.
I could do it all then.

I think the OJ finally helped me - I didn't find out about that until about the 3rd week - but I know exercise is probably the best if you're up to it.

Love to one Krazi from another,
Jean
Krazi, that was my biggest complaint. Totally normal. Its not fun. Alot of people took off of work for a year. Im six months and just getting to have energy. You just have to work at it. Like right NOW I need to be working and am posting to you...lol It is easier.
I think it is normal. I went through the same thing. Once I got some clean time it was like I was still in a fog for awhile and couldn't get motivated to do anything. Walking, taking vitamins and drinking water helped me physically feel better. Also, I started forcing myself to meet daily goals, even if they were small to get over the mental part.

Good luck and remember this to shall pass.

Thanks for the advice.........I been taking my vitamins, and I am also doing liver detox, so wondered if that is NOT helping..
I think what really got me was last night when my hun went to the dryer to get some socks......the load has been in there since Friday!! Yikes..I guess I need to have him understand that this is normal....he sees me have spurts then down for the count....hey at least he says your finally eating....I laugh I say ya eating and sitting on my a** ...nice way to get better, only gonna gain weight.but hey I might get my boobs back..........LMOA sorry just had to say that...
I remember between 2-3 weeks I was feeling good...getting some sleep...past all of the physical wd's, and then out of the blue I had 3-4 days of feeling completely exhausted.

But it is temporary, so hang in there. It really does get better!

Jim
Thanks Jim,
I just took a shower.cranked up some tunes, and gonna get my butt going before it has time to say anything differently to me.....I figured if I can get all my hunny do's done by 10 this morning then I will be fine to take the rest of the day to chill........I hurt pretty bad on Friday cuz I od on my hunny do's.so today gonna take it slow...I told my hun my siatic acted up cuz of the laundry, guess he didn't buy it.LMAO..
When I was on the methadone I was able to do all my house work and yard work not feeling a thing, boy my body musta been hurting, and the meds masked it.......cuz now that I am not taking them, my body hurt after doing only 4 loads of clothes....need to learn to take beby steps along the way and enjoy what I see........
Exercise, exercise and more exercise. I can't stress it enough. You don't have to run a marathon either. Do whatever is comfortable. It will make a world of difference. You never know, you might just adopt a new and improved lifestyle. The transition for me was quite easy as I substituted drugs with exercise. When I was in a rut and wanting pills, I would just go and run and I wouldn't stop running until my mind would stop. You don't even want to put anything in your system as you are improving it everyday.

I can't stress this enough. For starters, we should be exercising everyday as it is, but after you shock your system that bad, the least you can do for your body is pay it back. I was at full strength and energy at the 3 week mark. My buddy who stopped at the same time and took a lighter dose wasn't back to normal until the 2 month mark. He sat on his a** all day. By the way, if you work at it and slowly increase intensity, you'll feel the greatest high of all.
Yup, Flipper is right. You have to get moving and exercize. Find something you like to do and get the heart rate up. You can't imagine how much better you will feel.....
Dear Krazi,
Think of it like you had major surgery and you had lots of anesthia it takes your body and brain time to recover from it. Drugs get into every pore of our bodies and it takes time to get all clean. just a short walk will make you feel better until you could increase your exercise tolerance. Something is better then nothing!!! all the Best...Shel
Dear Krazi Flipper says it all.

No matter how bad I feel I walk each day after work. I started at around 3-5 minutes. Now I have to keep it at 15-20 minutes as I have some issues where to much walking can hurt me.

Food is just as important. Do you eat a healthy breakfast? Most important meal.

I have been trying a B-12 Sub lingual along with Oscal and a multi.

7-8 hrs of sleep is a must.

Good Luck--Jeff
