I just wanted to say I was in no way trying to offend you earlier with my post. I didn't even have you on my mind when I posted. Of course we tell people to flush all the time and generally there is no problem. Things are not so black and white we have to always do something one way. Life is not that way. I think I've beaten to death the point I was trying to get across. I just wanted to apologize if in someway I upset you. Truly each person is different. Some can flush and no problem. Others have enough going on it wouldn't hurt to get some assistance. That's all. Anyway, it was not personal to you at all. Just wanted to make sure I cleared up anything on my part.

Oh Amy...no offense taken here. I stand by my way of doing things and the advice I give people. We all have our opinions and ways, no one person is right, not everyone is wrong. We are all in it for recovery and do the best we can to help. When I tell people to flush opiates, it's always prefaced with get help from a dr or other medical official, if you can or will. Not all will. They need a back up plan and do whatever they can to STOP taking pills. Flushing them is no different from not having any left. Tapering didn't work for me, and I tried it often for 26 years, so I'm not a big proponent of it. But someone else will always come along and suggest it, so people are getting lots of options. We do and say what worked for us and for some of us, we have more experience then most drs. I didn't take it personal, it was just the timing....and you know what I mean by that.

Okay Lisa,
We are on the same page. Just wanted to make we are okay. I couldn't taper either. So I get it. Been there. Got the cold turkey. Smile.
