Little Healthy Choices

sometimes we start the new year wanting to exercise and eat healthy...
we have all these goals........

and then we get overwhelmed and then before ya know it......
were right back to doing the same old thing......

here are some little things....you can do.......

drink water through out the day......

drink V8....buy a pack and have one a day....

take a good multivitamin........

eat a banana or a apple everyday.........

read something positive to start your day.....
stacey/24 gorden sends these wonderful inspirational emails in the morning..
and janet post a lovely thought for the day......
or/and
read a chapter out of psalms or proverbs.......

say prayers....talk to God.....

exercise......jumpin jacks, go for walks, join your local gym/fitness center...
dance around the house.....
anything to get your body moving and heart rate up........

know where your health food stores are....get acquanted with people that are into fitness and nutrition....
you may meet them at this store.......

be thankful...........

go see a movie with a friend........
"the pursuit of happiness" is an excellent movie.....
with will smith and his real son....
very touching movie, really makes you understand that, if you really want something, you can have it. takes hard work and dedication.....

just like recovery.......

in fact i reccomend that all those suffering from withdraw or active addiction, please go and see this movie.........just go

its nice to see a movie that is not filled with bad words and sex.......
and stupid crap......
but a movie that actually has a meaning and can be applied to life....
a movie that makes you think, makes you feel greatful and lights a fire in your soul to feel that you can DO ANYTHING, YOU PUT YOUR HEART AND MIND TO...

i believe in you....
i know that each and everyone of you have beautiful things about you, unique qualities........
to make a difference in this world.......

Very good suggestions. I have to go and see that movie. the one you were talking about. I try to eat healthy and make healthy choices.

What happened to going to sleep early? lol, I am actually half asleep (with one eye open) and I got up because my daughter wet the bed, so I had to take care of all that. Well Goos night.
Good idea, Miss Thumper. It also has so much to do with positive thinking.
I need to quit smoking and get exersizing again; I have been a total slacker.

I also have been having the MCD's double cheeseburgers...I never eat that crap!!! They sure are yummy...

Back to the yoga and swimming tomorrow...I promise. I can feel the back of my arms moving around...yuck. And I gotta get my butt back up where it belongs...lol. It certainly doesn't belong on the back of my thighs...

There is some great stuff called "Gogi" that is a really powerful antioxidant. I take that every morning and I have noticed that I feel better and my skin looks better.

You are an angel, thumper. Thanks for the recipe, Stephanie, but I think I will just try that for the kids. Ya, the kids....lol.

ha ha , my fav is the fish sandwich, it combo #12 and with extra tartar....
and the #1, big mac combo......

that stuff is just junk.........now i would rater run into a super market and grab a little bag of fresh friut and some carrots and snack on the in the car...
some whole wheat crackers or some pretezels to hold me over...

i am so glad to hear about the yoga and swimming....

but when i did get to sleep, seems like i was worried in my sleep , i sweat alot.

since i am not letting myself worry about the apt tomorrow with the mamogran results....i think i am doing it in my sleep.....

well thats the only way, cause i refuse to be all worried...

Thumper, thanks. Those were tough classes!! I have the other half of anatomy to go; and then I am DONE! I am taking pharmacology. That should be interesting.

The goji stuff is really good! I love it. It is expensive, but I think it is worth it.
Excellent and DOABLE recommendations Thumper! Also, remember that we dont need a new YEAR to make a change. Each DAY gives us that opportunity to start anew. (Ive already failed on a few of my resolutions so I better have tomorrow to start again!)

Thump - I am an total V8 nut. Used to be gatorade or propel but about a year and a half ago, I switched. Man, when it's ice cold..its awesome.
i am having a nice little can of V8 right now with a straw in it..........

Uhhh stop it thumps...you are making me feel bad....I am eating a 3lb hunk of extra creamy marshmallowy rice crispy square....mmmmm...sick I know....good for you...but this sure does taste yummmmmmmyyyyyyy! LOL
