Hello everyone,
Sorry I haven't been much help to anyone but lately I can't even help myself. Im searching for advise on Sub...I feel that my situation has gone way out of control and I know that I'd be kidding myself (again) to think that I can quit without the help of something to help with the wd. My nerves are shot. Im so depressed, and this cold, rainy, dark weather thats here from now until spring, isan't helping me any. It takes all I have to get out of bed. Don't feel like dressing, talking, driving, or anything else. I feel hopeless. I have gotten in too deep and want this life to stop with the pills. I know that I've got to pick myself up but I just don't feel that I can continue to live this way. Does the Sub really work? What if you have a high tolerance? I definatly don't want Methadone (too hard to come off of) How long does it take to take effect? Will I have downtime?? Im a fulltime student, looking for employment, and living with mom-in-law that doesn't know my problem or I'd be homeless to boot. I appreciate any/all advise from you. Thanks for reading.............
Dear Lost I cant answer all your questions as I am also taking Sub for pain issues.Anyways to answer some of your question,,,Yes it does work,it is a great thing to help you put together a plan for living sober.It can give you the time you need toadjust to not abusing.Of course when it is taking for a WD plan there is some discomfort as you wean off but you can usually live normally.Meaning you shouldnt get that sick,
If you get involved with Sub & get to a Dr he & you can deside how long youll need to be on it & he'll work with you.
I understand being afraid,I still remember my switch from 20 pills aday to the 3 of sub.As for tolerence,I dont think that matters too much I really dont know,what I do know is mine was so sky high & the Sub worked.Hope this helps some.My advice would be to look into it,go to web sites keep talking to people & than if you think its something you need to try find a Dr.I wish you the best of luck & please let me know how you make out....mj

Wow,you sound just as i did 6 months ago.Im on sub. and i really didnt want to take that chance of comeing off the pain pills i could take as many as 20 pers or hyros a day.It got to where no matter how many pills i had a month it wasnt enough.And i found my sub. doctor did the research.It takes effect 15 mins. after you first take it .Where do you live?If you would like id be happy to help you find a sub. doctor in your area.I was so scared and i had to w/d 24/hours before i got on sub.I was sick when i went in my pys. had to moniter me for a couple of hours.I had taken 4 mgs and he said you can go around town come back in 2 hours.After i left got in the car i felt like the person i use to be.I felt norally and i went the the hospital to see my grandmother that had surgey.I went in walmart and shoped with a friend.i really enjoyed it .I came home that evening and clean,cooked,and my husband said you act like a different person.I was so happy.If you need to talk or need some help finding out information on sub. and doctors heres my email address. lovelytobe23@yahoo.com
