My 19 year old daughter died Oct.23 2004.She was using ex for her 2nd.time.For some reason she had also taken phenergan. She also consumed too much water which a lot of people are unaware of the danger of.You always hear drink lots of water. However she had symptoms of the danger she was for hours in but nobody "noticed"until she started vomiting and having siezures. After the siezure, after she quit breathing ,someone called 911.
The autopsy listed causes of death,
1} Toxicity, phenergan and esctasy.phenergan acts with x in a way it antanizes it to a toxic level. As with other speeds and even diet pills. Its given everyday to mix with something from a doc.phenergan can be deadly when taken with the wrong thing.
2}pulmanary edema,no one "noticed"and turned her on her side.Plus the over consumption of water.
3}cerebral edema.she complained of a headache for hours.her brain was swelling from the water.so was she ,but no one noticed.
I have since found out all of this was unavoidable had her "friends" not have been scared and stupid.Help was not gotten in time.
Thank you for letting me vent.Any advise?Anyone(I hope not)ever been here?

Sherry -
There are no words that I could say to bring you comfort or ease the pain of your loss. Please do know that I will pray for you and for your family. Anytime you want to talk I will gladly listen.

Thank you for sharing your pain, and loss. I wish more young people would read and learn what drugs really do to them, and where their use will lead . I know "sorry for your loss" and any other words do not ease your loss . Hopefully sharing your loss, will make others more aware and keep this type of thing from repeating over and over . My heart goes out to you ...AL
Here is Sherry's post from "other drugs".....

Dear Sherry,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss! If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.
My 29 year old son Harry is battling against a heroin addiction. It has gotten him into a lot of trouble with the law because he has turned to stealing to pay for his drugs. He was never like that before. He's always worked hard for what he wanted....he never stole before. Please keep him in your prayers that he is able to get free of this addiction!
Love,
Susan

I am sorry for your lose. There are no right words to say. My prayer is that the Lord will give you and your family grace through this trying time.
I don't know anything about "x". I know a little about water intoxication. And phenergan is my least favorite drug in the medical profession. I don't like to use it because it makes one sleep.
Again, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that this experience can reach someone else before it happens again. God bless you and yours.

Dear Sherry,
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter.I lost my only son to an heroin overdose about a year ago.He was twenty-two at the time. It seems at times we are losing our precious children to a battle that must be fought but for a war that is never won. Although a mother/father's love is very strong-it appears not strong enough to protect our sons and daughters from the ravages of drug addiction.
God bless you,
Irene

Dear Sherry ,
No one prepares you for such an unexpected death. My condolences. Your post discussing the toxicology report is important, as I have requested one though will only be getting it in 5 months from now.Your loss is unique as she was your daughter, though the type of loss is shared by many others, it has helped me to know that I am not alone, even at times when I have felt like it. Recently I have only met people through this board that have exp. a death of a loved one/ son/ daughter with drug addiction(s)..... It helps to know that someone understands, most importantly that I have a place to come to when I need support, or just chat in a complete open, honest and supportive place.
