I know for me, it has been the hardest thing...because I have the kind of pain that justifies narcotics...but not the kind of head. Unfortunately, narcotics take me...

kerry you alright?what you said is so true,my pain justfies my use of narcotics but i don't have enough common sensce to take as directed,i flushed the remander of my pills down the toilet early this morning with the exception of two it's overwhelming what this has done to all of us,even for those 3 months clean all i do is think about it,it is sad to say but the only time i feel alive is when i'm useing,and when i'm withdrawing i'm wishing for death,i wish god would take away all of our pain and let us have a second chance,i know how you feel and i hope you feel better,your friend vinny.

I, too, would like to welcome to you this wonderful board and forum, respectively. There are so many people here, MP, that can offer you support and inspiration. We are all here for a common purpose, to share our problems with addiction and how we are overcoming them.

vinny...hang in there...it is truely sad what these pills have done to me..
I am very greatful for the reprieve..and don't want to go back. I hope that you are okay. The one thing that I HAVE learned, that might help you, that the pills don't work like they used; the happy feeling that I got just doesn't come; I don't even like it. That has helped me from picking up many times.
I am soooooo proud of you for flushing...I did that a few days back with oxycontin....it was easy, but very hard at the same time...Part of me wanted to go on a run...a lifetime run. I don't think that I could make it through withdrawls again..lol...
Today I am greatful that I flushed them...

I personally think that you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders, and you came here for a reason....

This board is for anyone and everyone who is seeking or in recovery. All who come here are suffering with this horrible disease. We need each other. It helps us to get through the days when there is no meetings going at that time. I know that I can not get to meetings 24 hours a day, they don't have them going like that. I get my one a day, like a vitamen, unless I am not able to make it, and that is rare.
Please come back, and let us get to know you better. In such a short time you have made enough of an impact to have all these people here, wanting your company. Let us help you, and in doing so, it helps us. We all have something to learn from each other, and that is the beauty of finding friends in recovery. While we are all different, we are all very much the same.
