Kimber,
I don't know what to say. I'm really overwhelmed with, uh, I don't know.... what do you call that thing I've been trying to repress and avoid for most of my life..... um, right... EMOTION
Gotta go take my car in, but I'll be back on in a while.
Hope you're feeling good!
Love
Matt

Kimber,
There's a lyric from a song called Scarlet Begonias by the Grateful Dead that's always been a favorite among the band's fans:
"Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right."
That's the best advice I can pass along to your daughter.
Are there any activities or hobbies that they shared together, that she can continue to do? That'd be a great way for her to honor his memory and carry on the gifts that he gave her.
Also, there are a couple of books that I always recommend to everyone, both young and old. The first, The Power of One, is by an Australian author and takes place during the second world war in South Africa. Easily my favorite book of all time. The second is more well known - The Alchemist. Both of them are written in the first person voice of a young child.
