Maya Says ........

I received this in an email and loved it and want to share.
"In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.
Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.
They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

I "think" Gina is referring to the pre-lit tree I bought for Christmas. After it was assembled and partially decorated, the bottom half of the lights went out. So, I did what any decent redneck would do. I threw it back in the box and used a half of a roll of duct tape to close it up, before I returned it.

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to do, especially the whole idea in the first place.
As stated before, I don't do lights. I don't even like to be in the room. Husbutt does the lights, then the kids decorate. When they're all gone I might adjust everything or hang some candy canes.
The kids have been asking to put a tree up since Thanksgiving. I'm still procrastinating.
A pre lit tree in a box sounds perfect to me. (even better if it comes with ornaments and folds neatly back into the box the day after Christmas,lol)
So what does this say about us?
I do okay with rain and luggage...I think. lol

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the well wishes. I'm still awake. lol. I'm always like this before surgery. Anyway, I have a prelit tree this year. My father use to make us redo the lights on the trees as kids as they were suppose to be upright like candles on a tree. lol. Now days I don't care how they get on there!!! lol. Rainy days are good and luggage lost means I don't have to carry it. So I guess it's all good.
