Mel Gibson

How many of you feel that he is only human, made a mistake and should be given another chance?

How many of you feel that what he did is unforgiveable?

How many of you think it was something he did for publicity?
In my own opinion... the DUI is forgivable, but his remarks are not. Sorry but bigotry of any kind is just wrong, and him backpedaling and saying he's not "really" a bigot strikes me as BS. If he wasn't a bigot he wouldn't have said those things, period. We as addicts/alcoholics know that when we are loaded we generally show our true selves, not false ones. That's just my opinion on it.

I really hope he gets help though, I think he needs it.

I feel the same as you do ciaobella. Unfortunately I was just scolded on another board for gossiping. Oh well.
Like no one on these boards ever gossips... LOL. Don't sweat it kl... have a good day.
Hey K1924 i seen a photo the other day of Mel and all i noticed was the fear in his eyes, you know the morning after fear of covering up the night before and he has to do it publicly. His rock bottom wil come at the moment it,s all still part of the publicist game and money. I think his rock bottom will come via the ones he loves.
Hey my views only and not gossip, just opinion it must of been a bad day on the other board see ya.

Light and love Zac
Hey Zac,
Geez did you ever see that look in my old eyes?????
I think for the most part that Mel Gibson seems to be a pretty decent person, I certainly don't agree with what he said, I think that is just plain wrong, obviously he has some serious issues that he needs to deal with, I forgive him, and won't boycott his movies, I think everyone deserves a chance.. Just my thoughts..

Lots of love

The apple does not fall far from the tree.

His father believes the holocaust never happened.

Does he deserve a second chance absolutely. He is just a human being.

I think him driving 87 in a 45 shows what alcohol can do to people. The guy is worth 500+ million and could have ended his own life or face manslaughter by killing innocent people.

But he will get off. Hopefully he uses his celebrity to educate people on the anti semitic problems we have in our country.

Hopefully he gets help with his alcoholism

Jeff
I just want to clarify, I don't think anyone is beyond redemption (well, maybe a few, Charlie Manson probably isnt getting into heaven anytime soon), I just think bigotry is pretty much the worst thing in the world, the cause of many of the world's problems, and I have zero tolerance for it. That's what I meant about him getting help. I hope he can change his belief system...
Hi girlfriend, I couldn't agree more, and Jeff, I couldn't believe his Dad said that!! I read it in the newspaper and my jaw just hung open, and I'm sure he has been subjected to that kind of "brainwashing" for a very long time. Just goes to show, money doesn't buy you a piece of mind or good judgement along with alot of other things...

Big Hugs

Love dove I live in palm beach- Florida Today at 12pm I went to Dunkin donuts to pick up a bagel with cream cheese and coffee.

They raised there prices like 40-50 cents. I said Jesus that a rip off. A woman Taps me on the shoulder and says YOU JEWS cant stop taking the lords name in vain. The place went silent. And she booked.

First off I look like a terrorist--or Italian depending I f i shave or grow my beard.

I HATE RACISTS-and followed her out and ripped her a whole and a half.

The bottom line is there are many ignorant people in this world.

And for some reason a bunch of people want to kill all of us and the Jews and then the rest of the world.

Its quite sad when you see little Arab kids playing withreal guns and taught to hate all Jews and americans.

The world is in the $hitter man.

You trust try to make the best of each day and protect your family to the best of your ability.

Jeff, that's awful... I can't believe anyone would say something like that. It's so sad the way things are these days... the Middle East, Northern Ireland, and yep the US too, hell the KKK is still alive, how can that be? A girl I used to work with is Lebanese, she's been in the US since she was 2, and when the war started this guy at work told her "all you people need to go back where you came from." She's the sweetest girl and her feelings were so hurt. I wish I'd been there when he said it, I'd have popped him one.

Liz I remember reading about that too, what his father said... horrendous. I saw a special once about people raising their kids in the KKK... I felt so bad for those little children, repeating what their parents had told them, having no idea what they were really saying. Racists shouldnt be allowed to procreate, IMO.
I agree, My girlfriend once was in a thrift store and wanted to know if they could knock the price down on an item she wanted for her son, and the lady said, to the other lady, We have a Jew out here who wants a lower price! My girlfriend went right at her, and this was coming from an 80 year old woman!! disgusting! Racism is alive and well here in Canada as well, and it makes me sick to my stomach!! Something has to change we are breeding a world of hate and intolerance.
