Memorial Day

Every year I try to make a concious effort to somehow say thanks to the men and women who have served our country,,,,,,,the people who have been so selfless and heroic fighting to keep us free.

Yes, it's a great time to spend the extra day with family and friends.......it's an extra day to get things done we've been putting off.......but could it be we possibly wouldn't be doing any of it if not for at some point a member of the armed forces didn't put themselves out there?

It's a sad time.......and I know there's nobody wants to see the men and women in Iraq........we hate hearing of the lost lives........but them mostly kids are there and bravely doing what they were sent there to do........and I thank them.

Meanwhile I don't miss the chance to tell some of these little kids about Audy Murphy..........my dad taught us our American history........and Audy was one of his heroes.........so maybe take the time today to enlighten a young person to the heroic efforts of our men and women who fight to keep our country free.

AMEN

Bryn, it's post's like these of yours that make me come back to read more. I hope your doing ok. I feel sad when I read that your feeling lousy. You are a strong individual and the reason people like myself and all the others on this board come back is because we draw strength from YOU. Do you see that?

Whenever your feeling low, try to remember all the ones you have helped just by sitting at your computer. Have a wonderful Memorial Day.
