Have a wonderful Christmas morning with all those you love... This is the first time I have had my grandkids with me,together,for over a year and my DIL,although she is here in Calif, she is spending the night with her father. She will be returning tomorrow evening to have Christmas dinner with us.

Is it Christmas time in America as well,For the lifa of me i neva realised yeez had xmas in the ole U.S.A.at the same time....I take it you also have Santa Claus,n,all his wee Elf,s,n,super reindeer too then,,I think i,ve got it,,That must be why theres a time diferrence so that he can get all around the world with the kids toys on the same date....
A few years ago when my son still believed in Santa,which incidently was the highlight fr me every year with my two youngest kids,,What a feelin it was..Anyway,after delivering the prezzies as usual i woke Tay up still in mt santa costume to wish him merry xmas while he was still half asleep..his wee face lit up,n,after a cuddle,n,exchanging pleasantries off i went to get my reindeer,n,finish my deliveries..A couple of days later in walks Tjay to the living room,n,he says"mum"see the only thing that is troubling me was what santa was doing wi my Dads trainers on,,,I almost split my sides,,the next year,,another year older mind,n,starting to doubt all this santa lark bcoz of his m8s at school etc the 1st thing he looked at were my feet which i had anticipated and had made sure i,d borrowed a pair of wellie boots so the job was a good,un again..A few months later he musta been playing hide,n,seek or sumthin,n,he found my suit..."DAD"HE hollored,so i dived through to my bedroom not knowing what was wrong,n,there he was holding the suit,n,giving me that GOTCHA look,,I grabbed him,n,we both rolled around the bed howling with laughter for about 10mins,we were both practically crying with laughter..I made him promise however not to spoil it fr his wee sister who also desrved the joys of the santa thing fr as long as possible,,and they genuinely were joys..
So wherever you all are have a truly magical xmas,n,a Happy New Year..

Ah Eckie that was lovely ma man.
My girl is now a very big 13, doesn't believe in Santa bringing the toys but does still believe that there is a real one at the North Pole which is kinda interesting.
And still gets as excited if not more so on Christmas morning - bizarre

Im still chuckling over that one Eck...made me smile !...Im always so grateful we still have a little one to watch at Christmas time...shes 11 now but still, how they light up...its magical !...Loved your story !

Glad you liked my wee story,n,soz fr not moving on but i,ve a wee story fr yeez b4 i go..
On xmas day past there i went out to see my kids for a bit b4 going to my sisters fr dinner,,normally,even though we have split i still have my dinner wi my kids but fr reasons that are private i had to do other things this year.
Anyway,,my kids after wishin them merry xmas both came in wi a wee prezzie for me,n,my 10year old daughter Wee Alex gave me a dvd that she had made,i honestly never expected this,n,was totally overwhelmed..It opened wi her voice saying merry xmas Dad,hope ye like this,love you etc,n,then to the tune,n,lyrics to You Are my Sunshine started a slideshow,the 1st pic was wi me,n,my late brother then as it went on it was my 3kids,n,my dog Diesel in diferrent pics..The thing is that when my kids were very little,even my eldest who,s 23 i sang this song to them on a regular basis..
Wee Alex asked as it finished if i liked it and with tears running down my cheeks i told her i totally loved it and would keep it forever.I honestly dont think she or anyone else fr that matter coulda gave me a more meaningful prezzie than what i received..By far my best ever prezzie....Whoever did the lyrics on that version,,a lady btw,was truly awesome as well,n,i,m gonna need to see who did that version of it...Anyway,,no more on xmas this year fae myself...

I,ve had my,or rather still got my wee girl,n,her wee pal that lives next door to her staying wi me since yesterday again bcoz i,m headin down to Jelly,s fr the new-year,,so i reckon i,ll be down in England fr a couple of weeks,n,wont see my kids till i get back..
I know i dont speak much about my x,etc but she doesnt keep well and can be floored from time to time as she has emphysemia,,i always offer my services to help as we do get on ok still but its not often she accepts though she does know i am willing..
