Hi my name is Lori and i am a recovering codependent. I understand what you are going through. The best thing i can tell you is to go to a Naranon or Alanon meeting to get yourself some good support because you are going to need it. It is too hard to deal with this stuff on your own.
Also there really isn't anything you can do for him but you can take care of yourself. He is going to have to get clean on his own and do for himself. Being a mother that is hard to do step out of the way so that is where alanon will give you the tools to deal better with this.
Remember you didn't do anything wrong, You didn't cause it, you cannot control it, and you cannot cure it. He has to want the help himself.
