From what I understand sub only works if you dissolve it under your tounge, I have been told if its taken any other way then it simply doesnt work???

i'm with gabbi on this one, when you take subs you have to let it dissolve under your tounge. if you don't it won't work. i don't see how it would work snorting it.

as far as i know my mate snorted them once every day for about a fortnight and when he stopped he was in bits he went into a middle of a 3 day rattle/withdrawals he had to use over 50 worth of herion just to feel slightly well again then another mate tried them and was sick as a dog straight after so it all depends on what drug he/she uses anyway Thats just a couple of people i know but i heard they snort them in prison to get a buzz similar to herion/gouch

Now on subutex.This is a partial blocker.It is also open to abuse.So you can flush it away if you use enough gear.YOU ARE PUTTING youself at risk if you do so.It is sublingual (under tongue).I think I am right in saying the reason for this, is that the body can absord it without the liver removing it ,which it would do if you were to swallow it.
I have tried sniffing it.(WHY?because i am an idiot)it's s***.

i'm on subutex and they used to make me ill when having first dose (really ill) but to get round this you have to wait till your rattling then have extremely small amount of subutex (no more than 2 mls) within 30 mins u should feel better. they are a partial agonist whereas herion is full agonist, however subs bind more tightly to the mu opiod receptor than herion thus blocking the receptor. however if taken too soon the subutex will remove the herion from the mu receptor and because its a partial agonist and not a full agonist you will experience a precipitated withdrawel. some say if you snort them this wont happen but it will. if a person who is not dependent on opiods takes subutex they will experience a buzz more or less indistinguishable than herion. but people dependent on opiods (full agonists) will not. i have snorted them and noticed that they still took 30-60 mins to take affect but did not get a buzz from it because i am dependent upon opiods. people not dependent on opiods can snort subs or dissolve under tounge they will still get a buzz either way, because subs are a partial agonist and will stimulate thier opiod mu receptors
ther use to be a pain killer on the market called temgesic active ingrediant buprenorphine aka subutex it only contain 0.2mg and was widely abused in new zealand in the late 80's because of the lack of other opiates yes subutex to comes from the opium poppie people use to get off their head the nodds etc but as other opiate based drugs came availble on the street morf tab people started using both and anyone on subs knows you dont use then take ur subs other wise hello precipitaed withdraw the word got out they had put an additive in temgestic to stop people abusing it but it was only the chemical reaction we know now as full and partial agonist ...............precipated withdraw.snorting it would work because ur nose has hundreds of little blood vessels close to surface of the skin so it would be absorb straight into blood stream bypassing the liver much the same as sub lingally however any that went down ur thoart into ur stomach would do much beleive it or not ive heard of people chasing it <smoking> also quite likely to work but not adviserable if theres a will theres a way jesus were a desprite lot .....take care
Subs can be snorted as they are sublingual. Meaning they have to be desolved in fluid not desolved in your stomach. This means you can put them under your tounge, up your nose or even up your a**. I have got a lot of mates in jail and they tell me people would rather snort 4ml of sub than buy a bag of gear. If you are clean snorting a sub will get you wrecked, if you are habited up then it will make you ill just like putting it under your tounge.
Subs worked for me and i have been clean 12 months. Like all things if you abuse it then it will do you no good. Use it how it is supposed to be used and it will work for you.

Lot of interesting stuff here. My mate is an ex user and a pharmacist. He told me that, contrary to what Andy said, you cannot use so much gear that the subs is washed of the receptors in the brain. It's all about something called half-life. Gear is about 4 hours and subs, at a decent dose (8-16) is 24-48 hours. So, if you are taking your meds every day, no risk of OD. If you stop taking and the gear up over a period of days, then you can be at risk because you have reduced your tolerance for opiates.
Also, if you IV or snort, you get 1 part sub and 50 parts all the other crap that makes up a tablet. Would you buy gear that is cut like that? I wouldn't! Subs is for people who want to get on with their lives, not replace gear with a "legal" fix.

I'm getting pretty confused about the way subs work. My experience of them has changed the longer I've been on them. When I first went on them, at 16mgs, I stayed clean for a while, then I tried using. At first I left it 24 hrs, had a pin, and spent the next couple of hours throwing up, and feeling s***, and got nothing at all off the gear. The second time I left it 36 hrs, but got same result. The next time, I left it the full 48 hrs, had a lovely hit, and gouched my arse off. Since then, I've been able somehow, to reduce the amount of time it takes for the subs to wear off and the gear to work. Now, I took 16mgs of sub the day before yesterday at about 6.30pm, took another 8mgs yesterday at about 11.30 am, had a pin at about 6pm, just 6 1/2 hrs after my last dose, and 24 hrs after my previous dose (so 24mgs in 24hrs) and it hit me like a tonne of bricks. How come in the beginning I had to leave it 48hrs, and now I can use a few hours after taking my dose and I get the full hit? Anybody had a similar experience, or is it just me?

injecting tablets is always a bad idea, but with subutex it can be done. Suboxone contains Narcan (naloxone) so it can't be injected, he should be on suboxone.

I have found the info on this board very interesting. My boyfriend chewed up his tablet and swallowed it and was experiencing some pretty bad side effects. Is this because he didnt disolve it under his tongue?? Does it not work at all if swallowed? He also gets pains in his lower back and kidney area...any idea what this is off? And last but not least how long till the headaches etc go...he took them for 3 days and was so ill he didnt have his tablet the next day cos the pains were so intense.
Anyway thought, tips and facts would be much appreciated.

My God Lynds, talk about a blast from the past! Where the hell did you dig this post up from? Anyway, the side effects he's experiencing are probably just withdrawals. Subutex doesn't work at all if you swallow it. It's absorbed through the blood vessels under the tongue. Stomach acids destroy it. He needs to keep it in his mouth until it's disappeared, under the tongue. I seem to remember it would take about 20 mins or more to dissolve 2 8mg tablets, and they taste absolutely godawful. If you swallow it, you may as well not have taken it at all. The first time I took it I swallowed it, but luckily the pharmacist saw me and gave me another one. Which proves the point really, coz since when have pharmacists given out class A drugs to junkies unless they really have to?
If he starts taking them properly, he should be feeling better. Thought there was something suss going on, coz he didn't seem to be getting any better... his Dr must be total crap!

I was a little hungover yesterday so was chilling listening to music and browsing this site..saw it and thought it was really interesting.
Thing is now he knows he can beat the system he can just spit his tablet out when he comes out of the chemist. Whats the point though??? He opted to get better??? I just find it really confusing. Why get on a script then still use? He is apparently taking them again as of tomorrow. How long would you say he needs to go without gear before he has his tablet? and I will tell him he def needs to let it disolve. He did say it tastes horrible and disolves away really fast, hence making it harder to get out and spit it out. To be honest I hope the little bast*rd gets caught....that'l teach him!!
