Hi everyone,

Ever since i first heard this song ( by Jamie Oneal ) it has made me extremely emotional........I first thought it was because I couldnt share it with my best friend Tammy, whom had a history and house in Arizona, (tammy is my friend whom died from an over dose of Soma...) we used to call each other and say " Have you heard this song??????? Hang on Ill play it for you...and she would while she danced around her living room....

But I've been listening to this song over and over again, and for those of you whom know the song, realized the reason it struck a chord for ME, was also because I am awakening to the fact that there is no Arizona.

Arizona being a place of perfection...sedona with its colors and mystery, its allure, its majesty..its euphoria..........I have come to realize there is no magic potion...no little pill that will fix things, to give me the beauty, truth and love I seek.. For me..Arizona is the perfect place i USED TO THINK I was in when on my pills...but there is NO ARIZONA....

I haven't heard that song, but I will look for it so I can listen to it. You've told me about Tammy before, that should have been a HUGE wake up call for you. I can't imagine. I've also lost a best friend, but not like that.

thanks love, it SHOULD have been the wake up call I needed, but shes been gone almost 2 years.....I justified in my sick mind, that I was not on soma, never took the other drugs she loved, never got "Physically effected...(slurred speech, eyes red and beety...)

In fact, theres more to the story that I cant share right now, but suffice to say that as my pain over her loss increased, so did my dosages......Sad but true.Im only now waking up to the truths.

I love that song,i burned it on a cd the week it came out.Yo me its about lost love and trust,she waits and waits for him to meet him htere,but he never calls.It is a sad song,but i like it too!

I know what you mean.... it IS SUPPOSED to be about a lying boyfriend, but the lines where it says she could fill the grand canyoin with the lies he told her..

....to me its the lies the pills told me.....yup fill the grand canyon..

Cant click on the link to tell you for sure...its by jamie oneal...try i tunes if you have it......also tried pasting your address but wouldnt go to it....Was the lyrics the same as above???LOLOL then THATS the one.......

Ben its so funny that you read this because I also think a lot about the picture of you crying by Santa grave....when I listen to it lately....there is no Santa....there is no Arizona..LOL

I guess this is my getting off pills song.....i play it over and over, sing to it, flop down and cry to it...what a wreck...lol.....

...had a song that did the same thing...got me out of a bad relationship...played that song over and over and over again, till it was locked in my mind forever..

WHAT IS MY SONG?> dear god I have so many.
I love Tool "opiate" ha actually I just love Tool period.
You know I love the Beatles more than any other band...
but I think the best singer for me to really feel better after I sing is Fiona Apple. She's so angry and blunt and I LOVE HER!!! GRRR, I'm gonna go listen to her right now.
