So last night I saw the documentary Dark Days. It came out in 2000 so it's not new. Anyhow is worth a watch by anyone. It's about homeless "mostly crack addicts" living the New York Citys old underground railway system. The Freedom Tunnel community stretching north from Penn Station past Harlem. It focas on a very small group of like 6 people. Ever think things are going bad.... just pop in this flick you'll count your blessings.
I saw a show on SHOWTIME cable tv not to long ago about a diffrent homeless guy the people doing to movie gave him 100,000 thousand dollars "to do what he wanted". Guy had no money skills blew it ALL in less then like 7 months.
Just wanted to share that. I watched Dark Days on netflicks "watch now" movies so if anyone has netflicks you should watch this for free with your account. If you don't have netflicks you should check into getting it.
Yo ZG, I never saw that film about the homeless guy.....but saw him on a show, and people just couldn't believe that money went.......then the big ta-do was people thought he was exploited.......which in a way he was.
That DooD gave alot of gifts to other people........ain't it always the way it's the people ain't had nothing themselves that are generous.
Thanks for the heads up on that flick.........years ago they had this chick in NYC had her own shop in the Village and the husband was an artist I think.....heroin addict........chick was living in that underground tunnel as well.

That Showtime guy was buying stuff for everyone!!! . It was clear he had good intentions but, was cutting his own throat to give to everyone else. YES i've found that people without crap will help out way faster then those who are "well to do". When I use to "bum" for dope money I could tell by how new the cars were who would give and who would NOT. So sad to look back at now...... I know I was taking from people who did not have it to give.

Lesson well learned...........ya, and ya could tell who'd give ya a ciggie too.....to this day though I'll give somebody one.........if they are half decent and don't demand it........and I have to admit there's been people I saw sick in withdrawl and I've just walked up and gave them a buck.
