HI MR.LONLEY, I AM DIANE. IF YOU FIND THE TIME,WOULD YOU READ THE ENTIRE THREAD LISTED UNDER THE TOPIC "ANYONE WILLING TO TAKE THE EASTER PLUNGE?" BEWARE IT IS LONG BUT IT JUST MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT ARTICLE YOU HAVE EVER READ IN YOUR LIFE.IF AFTER YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE THREAD AND YOU HAVE CAREFULLY CONSIDERED THE CHALLANGE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW UNDER THE TOPIC LISTED (ANYONE WILLING TO TAKE THE PLUNGE ON EASTER?") I WILL TELL YOU THAT SOMAS ARE A MUSCLE RELAXER, AND YOUR HEART IS A MAJOR MUSCLE AND YOU ARE TAKING WAY TO MANY SOMAS IN A DAY BUT YOU ALSO DONT DARE STOP. YOU WILL NEED TO DO A SLOW TAPER ON THE SOMAS AND I AM NOT A DOCTOR SO IF ANYONE ELSE HERE CAN HELP WITH THE TAPER FOR YOU, THEY WILL. I PRAY THAT YOU WILL NOW CHOOSE LIFE. YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER FRIENDS THAN YOU WILL ON THIS SITE. DIANE
again i didnt have to taper off the soma's someone may have had a diff experience but i came off them the same as i did the opiates. i have known others to have come off soma's from a high amount without a taper as well. i am not trying to debate i am only giving my experience and i dont want vellz to have uneccessary fear. he is having enough fears and axiety from the DOING the drugs. plus i will not share his story cause its his job to do that. but there is a much bigger picture in his situation right now that needs to be takem in concideration. vells if you have any questions regarding this you know where to contact me pal : ) hang in buddy i'm pulling for you.

I have to very much agree with you boo.... while I am not a doctor and this post should in no way be substituted for the advise of a physician.... first of all the heart is a different type of a muscle than the musles that the soma interact with and futher the heart muscles contractions are based on electrical activities of the brain at the brain stem..... while there might be an indirect increase in the heart rate in the initial phase of coming off soma ( unlikely at best..) this medication is not like a benzo or even an opiate... mild discomfort is to be expected but not any life threatening arythmias if in the absense of any other underlying heart problems.
Please dont be frightened. You are far more at risk of kidney and liver failure each time you take these drugs in combination and alone than you will be going c/t quiting....
