Wow. Dr. Vinny, I think we should have a board meeting & figure out what kind of bonus to give the moderators for this one. I'm thinking maybe 10 times what we normally pay them per annum.
what happened that made you decide to "block" her from this board?

I'd say recovery talk and some idle chit chat to pass the day is acceptable. Other than that how important is it, if we do what we know we're supposed to be doing then we have nothing to question. Keep it simple, I love ya's.

I have been to literally thousands of meetings . Not once did I ever see an addict asked to leave . If justice is blind then there should be several other people who should be shown the door as well . The phrase" Live and let live " comes to mind . Rob
Seems to me that that's exactly what WAS going on, Bob. Talk of recovery and idle chit chat.... what went so terribly wrong that a fellow addict was banned from getting the help she needs. I'm ashamed to belong to anything that would do that....

To be honest I don't read everything so I guess I missed alot of whats going on here. But, it's sad if someone is kept from getting help of any kind, but if what ever happened was interfering with the majority? I don't know, I do know we all can act childish, and thats one of the set backs of addiction, stunting our mental growth, I just hope this person still seeks the help needed. I, to be honest

I can understand both sides to this. I understand why some are glad, and why some are not. I for one have mixed emotions..yeah it is sad someone can't get support on a recovery board for awhile, but do we let someone keep posting, and upsetting people? Calling addicts on here junkies, and ho's is unacceptable. That is MY opinion only. This Do or Die person, I don't know who they are, but should not be allowed anywhere near here. Fortunately there are tons of boards for recovery support of xanax, so I'm sure she'll find her way, but by her accounts and I quote, "I don't have a problem, I take them when I need them" so I'm sure she'll be fine. This is strange. I turned off the computer, & something about this rubbed me wrong. I decided to say something & suddenly i see others share the same concern.
I thought i definitely must have missed something. I know ms unerstood was defending herself & carrying on when others thought she should stop, but other then that (unless i missed something big) i have not noticed any big deal, even if i didnt always agree with her.
if im wrong, please someone clearly tell me what she did that was so bad. ( I did , by the way see some nastiness from other people directed toward her) SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I AM WRONG, EITHER HERE, OR EMAIL ME AT Browndog113@yahoo.com.

When I was in school, I just hated to see anybody get ganged up on. I don't really know Kaela, and I was gone and missed whatever transpired over the weekend. On the other hand, she disturbs some people that I happen to really like. So I'm not sure what to feel about this exactly. There have been people in the past that I wished would just go away, but I figured whether I liked them or not, they had the same right to be here as I did.
I hope this wasn't a case of a person needing this place badly and now having nowhere else to turn, that would be very sad.
I also don't want to see special people here adversly effected.

Ok I really feel the need to say my feelings.I think it all comes down to respect.We may not always agree with each other but I feel there MUST be a line of respect.Its only right if you try to respect someone over & over & they do not give the same to you or anyone else.I feel once it is like that THAN a line has been crossed.In this case I feel that that line was crossed many time over.Alot of people were TRULEY hurt by somethings.Others just Fabbergasted that it was being allowed.

When a Troll pops in saying horriable things they are banned.
All of us know that it takes 2 to keep a fight going,in this case many people tried really really tried to find a middle ground to deal with this person.Now Im not giving myself stars but when this person & I had a tiff started I asked for a email addy & I took it off the board.Why?Because like alot of you I feel this board is for recovery.And that crap didnt need to be put out here.So I tried to deal with it that way.It lasted not even 24 hrs.
Im really sorry if some of you feel that this person should not of been banned but please watch as the dust settles & this board goes back to recovery talk idle chit chat but mostly there will be respect.I dont think any of you would say those nasty uncalled for things we put up with these last 8 or so weeks,and I KNOW I would NEVER EVER disrespect ANY of you that way.
So I feel that this person could of gotten the help she so needed but SHE chose to be disrespectful to basically this whole board & the people that care about it.Thanks for letting me sound off....mj

This is a recovery board, not a high school. All should be allowed who are trying to recover or offer help to those that don't know how.
Simple as that. Don't agree with someone? Look for the similarities not the differences. Move on. Take what you need and leave the rest.
If you let someone under your skin, who's problem is it? Placing blame for allowing someone to get to you is not going to help you recover. It's going to keep you in the same place you've always been. Not taking responsibilty for your own crap.

I guess some are just sicker than others, Molly. Perhaps she needs more help than anyone here is qualified to give. In general this board is a forgiving place so perhaps one day she may chose to return and try things differently. (I've never seen anyone permanently banned) It's a tough call, knowing what the right thing is in a case like this. She needs help, but nice people like you are being upset.
