Detroit-I do surf.I have to drive about an hour and a half to get to the coast but it's worth it.
come on...suck it up princess!!! lol...if it makes you feel any better...there was NO one surfing yesterday...not a sole...around here anyway....still high but not so bad...."the surfer dudes" as Kearra calls them....were in the water by 7:30 this morning on our way to school....it was packed!!!

You are getting blown around too, huh?? I wanted to take pictures of the north shore yesterday also, the waves were huge but the wind was blowing them back...it was absolutely beautiful.

Surfing always looks so inviting.... Having never made it west of St. Louis has really cramped my surfing style though. :-)
Have you ever skateboarded? As I have gotten older and my body won't take all of the impact abuse I found that my skating got more and more surf-like. Much more carving and just rolling over apexes, etc.
I sympathize about the weather. I live in the way north of lower Michigan and I hate the winter and snow. Besides skateboarding I build custom cars and suspension systems for vintage Volkswagens. Heck, I don't even like to snowboard because of the cold. Winter seriously cramps my style. Put away the cars, take the good wheels off the truck, have to run the propane heater in the shop....it sucks. When I moved up here 8 years ago it REALLY Got to me, but I am getting used to it.
Anyway, I feel for ya'. Funny how something we have absolutely NO control over (the weather) can effect (correct one Gina?) us. In Michigan we have a saying. If you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change.
I know it seems like it won't, but it will be sunny again!!!!
