Hi everyone. As some of you know, my inspiration for quitting pills was my new granddaughter. She turned six weeks old yesterday. Thought I'd share a photo.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing that. What a precious angel. Give her a big ol smack on those cute lips for me. Next too food these days, babies are my second favorite.
Guess what? My son's Paw-Paw was a 32 yr alcoholic. I delivered their first grandchild (Matthew) and he loved that baby more than the air he breathed. I wouldnt let him hold him if he had been drinking. This lasted about 3 weeks.
My son will be 17 in June and paw paw hasnt had a nip since he was 3 weeks old. He says 'that boy saved my life'. To this day, the sun still rises and sets on Matthew's behind.
As far as Maw-Maw, she is now blessed with a great husband and is glad she stuck around for 32 yrs of hell. She says now that he is sober it is all worth it.

Something about that first grandchild is inspirational....if i didn't have kenny and the rest of my family, i would probably wither and die....beautiful picture!
That is absolutely true. They have other grandbabies now but Matthew is 'their baby'.

It feels weird being a grandpa at 45 but hey, I love it. Tomorrow is my 24th anniversary with 'grandma'. She's been the love of my life since high school.
She laughed the other day when I told her "I never thought I'd be chasing after sexy 'grandmothers' " lol.

Hawk your granddaughter is absolutely beautiful.Who could ask for more inspiration than that?!?! Congrats! I know exactly what you mean about being a grandpa at 45,im 43 in June and i have 2 grandchildren ages 5 and 4 and they are my life.You just cant believe you have that much love,i mean,i loved my 3 boys with all my heart,but ive grown alot,right along with them,these grandchildren came at the prefect time of my life,i enjoy every second with them.Enjoy that little girl and cherish her always.~KIM
