My Reasons For Using At 1st For Fla.grl

I WAS REFERRED TO A PAIN DOC BY MY FAMILY DOC. DIGENERATIVE DISC DISORDER AND 2 PINCHED NERVES. I ALSO HAD RADIAL NERVE PALSY IN MY LEFT ARM.AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED W 4 BABIES BTW!! 10-7-5 AND 2 YRS. THEY ARE SO GREAT. IM READY TO GET THIS OVER WITH, BUT I AGREE W/ U ABOUT WAITING THRU THE HOLIDAYS.....SHOULD I PUSH MY SELF TO GET UP AND DO CHORES EVEN IF I DONT FEEL LIKE IT. BEFORE I WAS ON THE PILLS MY HOUSE WAS IMMACULATE ITS A PIGSTY NOW. THE ALARM CLOCK IN THE MORNINGS IS 1 OF MY ENEMYS CAUSE IM HAPPIEST WHEN IM ASLEEP AND ITS HARD TO WAKE UP ANOTHER DAY AN ADDICT.
Okay, I understand now. Wow, you have had a tough run of luck there. I say, don't worry about the house, mine is a pigsty too...lol...Before I began using, my home was immaculate too and even though I am clean today, I could give a rip less whether it is clean or not. I even have a housekeeper and a day after she leaves, it looks like Hell all over again in here...lol...Oh well, as long as she keeps coming back.

Really, I would hate for you to be sick throughout the holidays with that many children at home. Just take things nice and easy and do what you can. In the mean time, try to cut back on the amount of pills that you take during the day. This way, when you do decide to get off of the patch it won't be quite as difficult. You'll just have the one drug to worry about instead of the pills and the patch... I know that it is easier said than done, but the way I look at it, I see no need for you to rush things right now. Also, have you tried to wear the patch for longer amounts of times? Sometimes I would wear mine for four or five days rather than changing it every third day. This is just a thought, I know some can't do this as they start going into w/d by the end of the third day. Be greatful that you are not on a stronger patch. I have a friend and she was up to 75 mcg on the patch along with Lortabs. She is currently on the Suboxone and doing better now. I thank God everyday that the doctor never bumped me up to 75 on that damn patch and Lord knows he tried, but I always said NO, the 25 worked just fine. Plus, I really never got high off of the 25 patch, it just controlled my pain, but like you, I wanted off of everything when I made my decision to get clean.
MY PAIN DOC {HES IN DECATUR, NOT HUNTSVILLE} HAS ME ON THEM EVERY 2 DAYS, AND YES HE HAS TRIED SO MANY TIMES TO UP THE MCG. I HAVE BEEN ON THE PATCHES 5 MONTHS. THE HYDO FOR A LITTLE OVER A YR. SOME PEOPLE TELL ME MY WDS WONT BE THAT BAD.
Pam,

I had the worlds best housekeeper when ilived in Vancouver. My house was definately neater than now.

But I also ran around and cleaned up before she got there...lolol

Hugs,

Ali
Ah, I see, so you haven't been on the patch that long...Hmmmm, I don't think that your withdrawals will be as bad as mine then. Of course they won't, I was on the Oxycontin and the patches and the lortabs. I've been on Lortabs for ten years and was on the patches and oxycontin for around a year and a half or two years. I don't really remember exactly how long I was on them, but it was too long for me and I won't ever take Fentnyl or Oxycontin again, unless I am on my death bed.

Okay, now that we have this all cleared up, get back on the Paxil, don't worry about your pigsty and take it easy. No need to beat yourself up over this now. After Christmas talk to your doctor and tell him that you want off of the meds and make him help you. I mean MAKE him help you get off of this stuff before months turn into years. I'm sure that he is not going to want you off of the meds because that means less money for him, if you know what I mean, but don't worry about him. If he refuses to help you then find another doctor that will help you or just do this cold turkey, but not before the holidays. You have got to be able to function for your family during the holidays and I think that you already know this.
