My 32 year old son just called me and told me he is addicted to crack, I thought he got off this stuff 2 years ago but he said no Mom it's not easy to get off when you don't have any help. He asked me to help him, but I don't know how, he has no insurance and I only make $26,000 a year to support myself and my husband who is disabled and doesn't work.
Please someone please help me before I lose my son to this drug or the people that sell it to him.
I am so sorry you have the heartbreak of this with your son. I honestly know nothing of crack,our only son (19 years old) is addicted to meth and has shut us out of his life completely. I felt the need to at least respond to you so you know someone cares and feels your pain, I posted for the first time a few days ago, and not one person has responded which only lends to the idea of being alone in the world. There are different resources you could start with to ask for help for your son, click the programs and resources tab and see if any help is in your area. If he asked for help, he may very well go to a treatment center. Call 800 numbers to see if he would qualify for any in your area. Best of luck to you and your son, hugs and prayers.
I am new here also but I have found so much helpful information. One of he first things I read on here was "Let Me Fall All By Myself". It's over on the left under Most Popular Topics. I too am sorry you are going through this but please be encouraged by the ones who have walked this journey before you.
