This is the first chance ive really had to get on the board for any length of time. Ive missed everyone,missed posting,and reading whats happening with you all!
My vacation to Florida was great.My husband and i got real tanned. The first few days were nice,the middle part was record cold weather,but the last 3 days were heaven(weather wise)we sunbathed every day,went to the beach,laid by the pool,it was just sooooooooooooooo relaxing!
We also went and visited our son(he lives 2 hours from where we were staying)and we really really loved that. We had some great meals together.My son lives right next door to this place called Andrettis thrill park,so we spent one night just riding go carts and watching my son hit 90 mph balls in the batting cages.He loves it there,looks so happy and healthy.I cried liuke a baby when i left him,but felt so happy for having the time we did have.Took literally 200 pictures!
My husband had brought some pills for his back in case he needed them,i was aware of it,and at first was a little upset about it.As it turned out,it never bothered me at all,i never craved one and "he" never had to take one,so when we got home,i had him get rid of them permanantely.They will no longer be in my house!!!!
Today is exactly 4 months clean for me and i feel awesome.I feel my life is finally back in order,im still on the sub,but just about ready to start weaning down. that frightens me a little but i know i can do this.
Ive missed you all,hope youre all doing great.Im going to read now,and try and catch up "some"....but ive missed alot in 2weeks im sure.Everyone take care,look forward to the gooses,and getting on each day like before,this place and all of you have become a part of my life.Thanks~KIM
PS~Jeff,we went to quite a few nice restaurants in Boca,the best one by far was...Ruth Chris,the steak was amazing!!! Also 5th avenue grill was awesome too. And i can never pass on the Ceesecake Factory(and not "just" for the cheesecake,lol)ive gained another 7 pounds but it was well worth it,i am back at the Y,hitting the treadmill,so im working toward getting the weight back off,lol!
Hi Kim...so glad that you had a good time and saw your son...how fabulous. Now time to get back to reality...what a drag..but oh well. I have never been to Florida..just the airport..but would like to see it one day..the Keys that is where I would love to go!
congrats on your 4 months thats awesome!!! If you don't mind me asking what dose of Sub are you on? Is it your Doc wanting you to cut back..or have you made that decision? Just curious...I am on 12mg daily..and doing real well!

Im only taking 4mg a day.At first i was just taking 3 mg(1 mg 3xdaily) im now taking 2mg (2x daily). I know its not alot.but its all i need. Any more and im a zombie,any less,and i get depressed,antsy.
Its my idea to get off,my Dr prescribes much more thna i take,i know i should tell him i take much less,but i worry if he knew how little i need,he would have said i dont need it at all.But when i go see him the 15th,im telling him i want off,and i will wean down,which will be hard,cuz im not taking much to begin with.So im not sure how im going to actually do it,but im just going to do it.Maybe cut down to 3,then 2 after a week,etc...but im definitely telling the Dr im done,that im using my last script to wean off,he might not like it but...thats my plan.
Im so happy youre doing well.Its such a struggle isnt it? Having my life back to normal is worth every ounce of pain and discomfort ive gone through though.I finally feel like myself,the me of 4 yers ago,and it feels good.~KIM

So glad you had a wonderful time. I'm sure the heat and relaxation made your husband's back feel much better.

Thanks guys,yes Stacey,it is awesome.The awesome part was,we were brought as guests and on our menu,there were no prices.We had no idea what anything costs,we just ordered what we wanted,and both of us loved what we ordered.~KIM
