I just would like to know if there is any sites that drug users/recovered/people stabling can talk to other like minded people, it is not something that you could bring up in any normal site, I need to talk sometimes as i am on a methadone program, and have got problems with the social services at the min, they are trying to say i am a prostitute, as the area i live in, i have been asked for business loads of times, I don't do anything that would make me look or act like a pro, but it has been all asian men who have asked me four times and because i have reported it to the police each time they think there is no smoke without fire, i have a boyfriend of 3 years, and my neighbours and kids can vouch for me that i do not go out at night or have strange men in my house and it is really hurtful, because i am a white girl whom lives in a mainly asian area. Talk to the prosecutors office. Talk to the officers supervisor. If it bothers you that much, stand up for yourself. Don't let them stereotype you and brush your valid complaint aside. Send a letter if you would rather do it that way.
They still may not do anything but at least you know you tried. Solicitation is generally low on their list until they get enough complaints. But that does not help your self esteem any having strangers paint a picture of you that does not fit.
