Hi,my story is similar to alot of posts I have read.I was on loratabs for about two years straight,until one day I was told to just stop taking them.I started having very severe stomach pains,It was from all the meds.So now I have to just stop.I am grabbing whatever I can on a daily basis just to cope.Without alot of luck{severe upper stomach pain from the lining and ulcer}.I have tried mylanta and malox and motrin and was put on prilosec otc,along with well anything{otc}.I either cant sleep because of the night sweats and chills or the pain is just too unbearable!Usually all at the same time.I have lost my will I guess is what im saying.I just want a normal life again....I am open to any kind of help...thank you soo much
Buffy, thats a tough one since you got the ulcer, how long were you taking lortabs all together? and how many a day?

Funny, my stomach hurt when I stopped taking the pain meds. Don't you have something specific to take for the ulcer? I hope you feel better, I know it's no fun to have a hurtin tummy. It really makes you not want to do anything! Call the doc maybe and see if you can get some help. I started suboxone and that's what finally helped me. Good luck!! I'll send some tummy prayers your way buffy.

I feel bad for you. I have been on lortabs and now almost 3 days without. All I could tell you, is maybe some immodium, or pepto bismol maybe. Sorry about the ulcer, hopefully i quit in time. I am having real bad pains myself today. Hang in there, there is light at the end of the dark tunnel we chose to travel in our abuse of these drugs. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi JD and all others.I have been off them for a week.The symptoms are not getting better as of yet.Im beginning to think it never will.It helps to have a place and some one to talk to.I personally want to thank all who respond.A normal life is all any of us want.I am taking prilosec otc right now for the ulcer.Nothing is helping the ulcer yet.The worse part besides the stomach pain is the sweats and the chills.I wake up freezing soaked from sweat.I used to look forward to bed time,but not anymore.Im sure alot of you can relate.Again thank you....With help we all can get better and stay that way.
