Need Your Prayers Please

My aunt in Florida called me about an hour ago. She was sobbing to wher i cold barelt understand her. My cousin, Rick, is in the hospital with Pneumonia and an infection in his blood and they found it necessary to put him on a ventilator.
She couldn't get a lot of words out but said she called me because I had gone through this before. That sounds bad, like she thinks or knows he's not going to make it. He's only 57 years old. He's had a good life teaching how to fly helicopters but had just moved down from VA to FL to be closer to his parents b/c they are gettin older. He's such a good son and a sweet cousin, just a good man. He is divorced - has a girlfriend and a 23 year old son from his 1st marriage. The doctors told my aunt and uncle they need to get them to the hospital as fast as possible. They can both make it to the hospital by tonight. My cousin's son lives in Texs and my cousin's g'friend has some business to finish before leaving VA.

Please say a prayer for Rick and for my sweet aunt and uncle. These are the ones who have taken the 5 of us under their wings since mother died, they are such good people. They live in New Smyrna Beach, Florida but 5 miles from the ocean and only getting lots of wind and rain. Thank God they can still travel to and from the hospital.
She asked if I would call the others here in Greenville and let them know, she was running back out the door to the hospital. She is 76 and my uncle is 80, I so hate this is happening to them.
She asked that I call her tonight after 8 so I will. She said she will know more by then.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Love, Becky Jean

So sorry Jean... prayers on the way..
Thanks Brook,

I'm going to call Florida this morning and see if I can get them at home about
10:00.
It just doesn't look good - I don't know, the doctors don't even know why his organs are failing. He's just too young (56 or 57) and to have a 23 year old son, so sad. If they could figure it out, they could treat him, they are just trying to keep him alive as of last night, last I heard.

Such a shame, my aunt, my Mother's sister, is so sweet - always such a good Moter and aunt when Mother would let us see her - so much fun all of the time. She looks 60, she has had Fibro for 20 years and she walks 2 miles every morning except on Sunday and goes to Church then. She has really taken care of her health . The only bad thing she ever had was Shingles and they got so bad around ger torso, she had to be hospitalized. That's it - clean living - wished I had followed her example. She has another child, an older daughter but that girl is so cold. She lives in Irmo, SC and will not even go down there knowing her only brother (only sibling) may not make it. If nothing else, she should be there for my aunt and uncle. She has always been a cold person, had 2 children with her husband and then divorced him, never remarried, said she didn't like having sex at all, told e'one this - she was in her late 20's. Not gay, just wants to be by herself, nor really close to 60 and still a HS teacher. She teaching in Irmo and if Irmo is anything like Greenville, I know all are different but teachers here get 15 personal days off a year - not counting the Summer months they get off. my s-in-law is a receptonist at a school and she says it's hard to find reasons to be out 15 days a year so she has over 100 built up - they let you carry them over.
I was always like my brother - her husband - he only gets 5 and toward the end of the year if he hasn't used them, he will - he says that he doesn't want to die with the company owing him money - haha.

Have written a book. Hope you are fine, keep dancing - haha - I dance with the dogs if nothing else. You are like my husband was, preferred live bands over the discos, I loved the discos b/c it was like you couldn't see anything but the dance floor and it was like the bands were there b/c it souned so professional.
When I bought him for our anniversary about 5-7 years ago - lose track of time -
anyway, I bought him Ozzest tickets - really good seats - we saw Ozzy in Clt - it was wild - I'll leave it at that.

Anyway, you are a doll,
Love you,
Jean
God works in mysterious ways,, and I believe strongly in the power of prayer, it is in his hands now, and we are all on loan to each other, we are gifts. That is how I look at things. We can't change what his plans are, and that we will never know. Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt any less.

LOL at keep dancing,, hey it really is better than the gym.. or it is for me. The gym is boring, Exercise is boring, but dancing is fun.. And yes I do stand in front of a mirror.. to work on my moves if you will.. lol

Have a great day..

Sorry Jean...you have really had your share of grief...I will pray and hope for the best...love you, Sharon
