New Sleepaide

Hi I know on a pill board writing about a new pill is not always a good thing.
But this morning I saw a ad for a new sleeping pill.
Now Im NOT trying to get ANYONE to take pills, but I know that ambien is used alot & I know I had a hard time with its side effects.
Anyways this is suppose to be non narcotic so for all of you taking a sleep aide it may be worth looking into.I belive it is call...Luinesta or something close to that.I hope this info helps some Thanks MJ
molly my sweet little innocent fly girl, you know as well as i do replaceing on pill for another is like drinking a gallon of gasoline and pissing on a brush fire..WHOOOOOOOOOO,don't do it darlin...............vinny.
Molly,

I've been taking Ambien for years and so I was very interested when I heard of this new sleeping pill....

But someone on another site said it's pretty much the same as Ambien, only designed so that you can take it more than once a night if you have to (which would be very beneficial to me, except I do that with Ambien now).

Even if this new pill is non-narcotic (like Ambien is as well), it's still going to be habit forming.... I have a hard time sleeping without it (though I do skip my dose a few times a week & find that once I finally DO get to sleep, I actually sleep better without it now.... my problem is actually falling asleep).

And you do build up a tolerance to the drug.....

I'm a big supporter of Ambien b/c it's been a miracle drug for me..... For someone with true insomnia, where I would go 2-3 days without more than 1-2 hours of sleep a night, if that, it's been great.... It's better than Xanax b/c its half-life is only 2 hours, so you don't go through withdrawals like with benzos b/c you basically go through withdrawals every morning (I took the drug every day for well over 2 years and when I quit, the only symptom I had was increased insomnia).....

But, like with other drugs, I hate being dependent on something, so I try to make myself sleep without it when I don't have to get up early......

Ambien is one of the most prescribed drugs in America, but for addicts, it can be dangerous...... so make sure any of you out there thinking about getting a prescription talk to your doctor first.
