Non-diversion Counseling For Nurses...

I was wondering if anyone knew (or could find) some kind of counseling or support groups specifically for health professionals in recovery. I do not need a diversion program at this point, as I haven't diverted and I believe I'm on the right track and am doing the right things to get me on a good road. I just didn't know if anyone knew of anything out there specifically for health professionals - whether it's online or f2f. The only thing I could find was a web site called "Nurses in Recovery" which looks interesting... I just want to be able to find a couple to browse around.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, throw them this way.

There are groups specfically for nurses. Check with your State Board or just call around. F2F support with your peers helps allot.

Also there are several online support groups. Just google and you will find them. Check Health Care Professionals. You will like that one.

Sharon, I'm usually completely computer literate, but what am I searching for?
Do i google "health care professionals" and then support or recovery?

I feel dumb, but need specifics :)

We are so alike then, lol.

I just researched Drug Addiction.

Then I narrowed my search to Recovery.

Then I narrowed my search to Health Care Professionals.

Just know you are going to see hundreds of sites wanting to sell you drugs.

check with your local AA chapter and see if they have caduceus meetings, soulp in your city. these are AA meetings that only health care professionals attend.
