Just got an iPod for Christmas, does anyone know of any sites where you can still download for free or cheap?

My husband downloads from easynews.net

You pay a ten dollar per month fee....but there are literally hundreds of thousands of cds, video's, etc, to choose from. He thinks easy news is easier than limewire.

I'm stuck, if it says T1 or higher and I have DSL does that mean it will just take longer to download or it won't download at all?

OK, I just found the same song that is Cable/DSL and chose that one, I said download but nothing seems to be happening, progress is staying at 0%

Stealing music should be easier than this. lol

Thanks Sarah for the other site, will try that if I get too frustrated.

This is so cool. I just got a nano-ipod for Christmas and didn't know you could download anything for free. Music is so theraputic!

CO, watch out for viruses on limewire. Any of those free sites are a hazard for viruses.

my boss bought me the 80gb one! it can hold 20,000 songs, but so far i only have about 3300,... i can think of a ton that i want to add on there though... it's been with me the past few days non stop!
I even have curious george movie downloaded it to me, so kaylin can chill if she gets real antsy.

i'm going now to find more songs!!! lol ya'll have fun!

How can you tell if a site is legit or not? Is it safe to say that a free site is not legit? I used ITunes the first month, paid the fee (think it was $10.00) got a ton of songs and then canceled. Mostly I copy from cds now. Since we are talking off topic lol, a pretty neat site is couponcabin.com. You can pretty much find coupon codes for tons of stores and items. Got it from the Racheal Ray show so feel its safe to spread the word lol.

I got a IPOD nano also for Christmas, I just pay 99 cents per download.

The color I got was the ' cheapest' color. lol

I have the Nano, also. I pay .99 cents per download through iTunes. My niece downloaded off of limewire and her computer was full of viruses. Her computer is kaput and she always on mine now.

The red ones were vaccinating pregnant women from HIV in Africa...so I bought my nephew the red one....He was so proud!!!! (He felt like he was doing something good too, just by owning the red one)...Oh, and the vaccine is to prevent them from transmitting the virus inutero....apparently there is a vaccine for that now.

I don't have children so I spoil my neice and nephew....and I LOVE IT!!!

Newsgroups is legitimate. (And virus free) You have to pay a fee....which per month is the equivalent of one CD....but my husband has two ipods FULL of music. It is ridiculous! But, I am listening to some pretty fine Leon Redbone right now!

I just bought a tune off of iTunes, downloaded on my computer, now how do I get it on my hot pink iPod?

Just plug your iPod into your computer and it will sync it up.

Plug the Ipod into the computer and drag and drop the song on the ipod.

uhhh...I live in Macworld.....so maybe it isn't that easy in PCland. sorry!
