So about two days ago, i got burned fairly bad, i had a hole pan of greese fall on me. i have had worse before so i thought i would be fine. With leaving and stuff i didnt have much time to deal with it.............it completly covers the top of my hand and fingers and goes on the hole underside fo my arm up to my elbow. I have noticed it getting reder everday, but just thought it was the hear finally rising to the top. My last burn i had skin grafts done and they had to scrub me with a iron brush, hurt like the dickens, but dont have a penny to do that....so i thought i would ask for some advice from the wise ones on here. It today has started to blister fairly bad, but i dont think it should be coverd because it would keep it moist.........if that is eaven right, Is there something good to put on it,alavera or some burn cream i dont know about. I have put neosprin on it. But it is cracking really bad on my wrist so i put some vasiline lotion on it, should i continue to do so, or just let it all take it;s corse. Burns are sure not fun, but hey it could be worse. Thanks in advance for the help i hope to be able to get the replies today! Pants, Even if you don't have money or insurance you can go to the ER where you are at and they will take care of you. How are you gonna go boarding tommorrow with a burn like that? Take care of yourself. Shantel

lol......... im stubborn arnt it.......i should take a pic and post it if i could figure it out. It is my first time back on the mountin i have a feeling i wll be doing alot of sitting...........we all have a big sled tour planned. Couldnt be any worse today with all the stuff i had to cary. If it gets looking worse, i will go in, but just thought maybe there was a good ointment or something........in all honesty hate being in hospitals more than i have to........
I'm not a nurse, but it sounds like a serious burn that needs the medical attention. Having said that, there is a burn salve that I used in the past. It is especially for burns and does work well. (I know the hospitals don't want you to put anything on a burn, but this was not as serious as yours.) I don't know the name, but the druggist would. You could get scarring with yours that could affect the use of the hand or arm. (Don't want that!) What a thing to have happen at this time and the pain has to be bad. Best of luck, honey. I wouldn't fool around with it.

The odds are that if left untreated it will become much worse and you will be forced into the hospital. Untreated burns can cause shock and infections, among other things. With your kidney condition you don't want to risk infection. Go to the hospital.

I had almost that exact same area burned on my hand/arm............I didnt go to the hospital that night, and figured it would heal on its own..........Well it didnt. It progressively got worse.....
Any burn on the extremeties is a serious situation, and can be quite dangerous.
No hospital or ER can turn you down for treatment, is against the law.
Go have it checked out ASAP.

I had a friend who dropped hot grease on her arm and it blistered the same day. Your LUCKY that it has barely started to blister. It sounds like you do need medical attention if it is a all over up to your forearm.

Hey guys. i did go to the hospital. all i can say is i am lucky i was wearing a long sleeve sweater. it was worse than my last. it kills but it kinda a numbing pain so i do good during the day but trying to sleep it kills rubin on the blankets. would of been in the burn ward if it was alover. wemt to a meeting to get my mind off it when it hurts. sucks but i am dealin whith it well
