i got a pre lit fake tree 2 years ago. i got it cause of my dogs and the whole issue with needles getting in their fur and ending up all over the entire house includeing my bed. however...i don't think i am going to tackle the enormus ball of lights for out side. i think i am gonna pass. i'll probally grt mad about to many burnt out bulbs and end up throwing them in the street.
bw, your funny...what did you think the thread would be about ??

Angela,
Let me tell you something you are not the ONLY one. My 2 1/2 year old has been taking balls off the tree and breaking them. As a matter of fact I just swept one up. I think my dog ate the majority of it. Poor thing. He will eat anything.
I will have NO BALLS on my tree by christmas. My candy canes are already GONE. I have a 8 year old that took care of those. So I feel your pain girlfriend.

I love the fiber optic trees. I don't have one, but my mother does. They are great, I can't put a tree up period, not with 6 cats in the house. That would be pointless. I have to admit though, I'm so glad about this. I'm tired of decorating and having to take everything back down and put away again.
I have a fiberoptic also and love it. As far as ornaments, I've leaned towards the unbreakables although I do have some breakable ones. My own mom made special cross stitich ornaments and gave us some wooden ones and I have a crocheted one from one of my churchschool kids. We put the fiberoptic tree (which is about 3 feet high) on a table and that helps to prevent breakage also. Best of luck this year.
