Good Morining everyone, I just had to post this today, please don't get mad with me, please:
Today is Homecoming at my daughter's High School and she has been on the Homecoming Court ever since she was in the 9th grade. Only Seniors can be crowned Queen and I have my fingers crossed that this will be her year. She is a great girl, makes straight A's, goes to Community College at night and works (sometimes). Also, she is Captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad, President of the Anchor Club, Key Club Sweetheart, Who's Who Among America's High School Students (for the last four years), Member of the National Honor Society, and this morning before she left for school she told me that she made the Hall of Fame yesterday. I think that she said that only 12 high school students in the State of Florida receive this honor each year, but she could have said her school.......... I was still half asleep when she told me and I had to ask her if that was a good thing. She has already received a 75% paid scholorship to attend any major university when she graduates. Tonight, her lifetime male friend will be escorting her. She and her escort have been buddies since they were 3 years old and they look out for each other and take care of one another. No, he has never been her boyfriend and probably never will be. He has been her escort every single year that she has been on the Court. These are just a few of her accomplishments and I am so proud of her..
Thanks for letting me share and I will post a picture of her after tonight. She is wearing an Emerald Green, long gown in the parade today and tonight she is wearing a knee length, formal yellow dress with teal accents and sequens with tons of crinlin (sic) under it........ It is so pretty and her shoes have teal colored bows on them and her Grandmother brought her an antique necklace to wear with the yellow dress. The yellow dress reminds me of Cancun and Cozumel and it fits her personality to a tee........
Regardless of if she is crowned Queen tonight, I will share the results with all of you. Her picture is on the new picture thread, standing next to me in the formal dress.
Please keep your fingers crossed for her and thank you all for allowing me to share in my excitement. Of course, I will be out today because I have to run around and finalize arrangements for her and drive her in the parade at 2:30 Central Time and then I'm off to the football game and the Homecoming festivities for the night.
Thanks Again and I hope that everyone has a great day and weekend.

I do have to say I am very proud of my boys.....well except the pot thingy but we will get thru it when he is ready to do something again........both boys have always gone above and beyond in their sports........as a matter of fact Kyle ranked #1 for the first 5 weeks and then dropped down to #3. but then again he was playing w/ guys that have played since they were little.as far as him he had only played for 3 years.he is going into his 4th year.ranked very high...we are so proud of him.......last sunday when I dragged my azz outta bed to take him to his game, he said he made the 8 goals for me.so so sweet.....and then e1 asked what college he is going to .......kinda sad.to say when he decides I will know, but we are hoping on the one in town.it is a university but he needs to finish getting his sh** together.........
As far as Zack my 19 yo.he was captain of his football team.....I will share a pic of him in his football uniform...did great, was gonna go to the Jr. college in the town his dad lives in until they got into a huge fight........my ex is an angry man.always.....sad thing is the kids can only stand him when he is stoned or drunk............so he moved on up to washington state, and got a job, just bought his car, and will be saving for a place of his own.then go to school next year.he wants to be a sports writer.thats what he lives and breathes...I know if he keeps his head straight he will do it.......he has called me EVERYDAY during this rough time to check in.saying he wishes he was here to help me.such a sweet kid.I will be heading up there next week.since i know I will be feeling better....
Just wanted to share my kids a little also

I love my boys, don't get me wrong and I think I make a better boy mom that girl mom, but I really feel that I missed out on some things...dances and dresses are a big one.
Please God, send me granddaughters.
Janet, you're heart is so big...anyone in your home would be loved like flesh and blood.

Thank you everyone.. Yep, I'm so proud of my boys too and NEVER wanted a girl, but i would not trade her for all of the money in the world, now that I have her. God works in mysterious ways. I was always a Tom Boy and thought that I would never be able to keep up with a girl, in a girlie way. But I was wrong, Vanna is ALL girl and NO Tom Boy.................I got the hang of the girlie stuff the minute that she was born..... I'll tell ya'll more about my boys accomplishments later.. Thanks for listening and letting me share.
Wow Pam that is a pretty impressive young lady you have raised. Congrads.
Unlesst he judges have been bought off She will win hands down. she is a bright young woman and very attactive. Your list of her accomplishments puts her a head of most of her peers.
Good Luck--Jeff

Thanks Jeff, the student body does all of the voting, so I don't think anyone has bought them off yet........... Plus, they already voted weeks ago and only Seniors can be Queen. There are 8 or 9 other lovely, young ladies vying for the title too. All of the girls are beautiful and they are good girls too. It will be great for any of them to be crowned tonight. I will be happy for whomever gets the Honor............. Can you believe that it is kept a big secret, who the Queen will be? Everyone is really tight lipped on this one. I've already asked some people if anyone was talking or giving subtle hints as to whom the Queen will be. Nobody is saying "jack"...........Oh well, we just have a few more hours to go and then the whole dang town will know and this board too.......Have a great day.......
Thanks Dottie, that is really sweet of you. Thanks a ton. It really means alot to me, coming from you. I'm so glad that we are growing and have gotten past our bad days..........They are kind of funny, now that I look back on them...
Also, I'm so happy that everyone is finally getting along in this forum.........Woooo Hooooooooooooo............. KNOCK ON WOOD.........

I wish my 18 y/o had half of the resume your daughter has, unfortunately his belief is that he will make it with his drumming talents, not saying he won't but he is very intelligent and working far below his potential, he could have taken another math class and been eligible for scholarships...but that's not his thing. I pray that he will be able to find some sort of a good trade.
I will give him Kudo's though, as his band(s) have done quite a few benefits for others...so maybe he did catch on to some of the stuff that i've tried to teach him.
Pam, you know it's the weekend and subject to massive bull-ticky...lol

Thanks everyone.............. I love you all...........
P.S.
Dottie, I saved you email addy. If you don't mind, I will send you an email as soon as I can. I have something really unusual to tell you about and it has to do with the Hudak name that you mentioned to me awhile back. It is really a strange coincidence. Have a great day Lady................

Thanks Shel, I guess Vanna learned how to be a mechanic after all. When I got to the school at lunch time today, she was invisible..........lol.........I called her up and the little turd was at the beauty shop waiting for me. Dang, she could have at least called me and told me that she got the car to crank. Bet she was out of gas and just didn't want to say so..........lmao.........
Ohhhhhh,,,,,,,, she has got PMS so bad. I've already had to cuss her like a dog today. She was being really mean to me and after the parade I had heard enough of her trap..........She even cursed my son out for just looking at her and he just shook his head and had a chit eating grin on his face. He got way the Hell away from her and I don't blame him one bit. He's an easy going dude, too easy going sometimes. Anyhow, she does this all of the time, when it is that time of the month and aaarrgghhh, she drives us crazy. I mean, she really stresses out waaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much and when she was 10yrs old, I found her first grey hair. Yep, she has had grey hairs since she was 10 yrs old. Guess that is what happens when you are a dang perfectionist........This is her biggest downfall and I wish she would learn how to cope a little better. But hey, at least she didn't follow in her Mom's footsteps and eat pills to de-stress. So I guess that I shouldn't complain too much. Okay, I'm off to the ball game. I've taken some great pics today and will have some more tonight. Maybe Vanna will show me how to download them from the digital camera within the next few days...........I'm out for now..........
Thanks Everyone...........Have a great evening and an even better week end........
