I know that some people love Oprah and some hate her. That's not the point. When I turned on the TV today they said the show was about a man abusing his wife/partner in case you are interested. Sometimes when you see it happening to someone else, it registers that it's NOT ACCEPTABLE!

you are right...when i see it happening it to someone else..it is unacceptable...i see signs of it in my sister's husband...and i get all fired up when i read the continuing 'rap' sheet of dear Diff's significant other's abusive transgressions...BUT
sitting here with the fading imprint of an imploded punch on my upper thigh...supposedly delivered during an exchange of playful banter but executed with a definite unconscious aggressiveness.....or thinking about how during a recent verbal exchange i was alloted ' 5 seconds' to explain myself while the word b**** was cited too frequently as the chosen weapon for my personal character defamation..
i ponder why i continue to 'accept' the unacceptable...

I see this as a step in the right direction. You're seeing that you shouldn't. Even baby steps....in the right direction....will get you to a safer place.
