Ot "i'm Dancing As Fast As I Can"

Im Dancing as Fast as I Can by Barbara Gordon

This is the story of a very successful woman who was addicted to Valium went CT and ended up in a psychiatric hospital and lost everything. She got her life back and wrote this book. Its hard to read but how she fought to get her life back is an inspiration to everyone struggling with addiction

The interesting part of this story is that this book was written in the late 1970s. This happened to her before the world knew anything about prescription drug addiction.

Knowing other people have fought the fight and won helps me. Knowing the hell people have gone through humbles me.

Hey Cathrine, there is also a movie based on the book, starring Jill Clayborne.

I recall seeing it years ago. Great story. The movie was easier to follow.
Brook,

Yes there is a movie. You can buy the movie and the book on Amazon.

With my recovery it helped me to know that I wasn't alone in addiction to pills. I stopped feeling like a freak. Today I am so grateful that my experience could have been much, much worse.

This womans story helped me. I'm sure it can help other people.
