My heart goes out to the family....they have found his body....I guess we can be so thank-ful the mom and 2 kids are alive..

They found his body at noon, but just confirmed his death a few minutes ago. It is so sad, and what hurts me more, not only that he is from here, ( well SF) but my brother and I had a situation in oregon the week of Thanksgiving, and we had just hoped and prayed we made it home before the weather got wicked..and not knowing the area we adventured a little, but were afraid of getting lost ourself, besides it was freezing up there, and we didn't have enough of the cold weather stuff..so my heart hurts, when something goes wrong. We all need to prayer for the mom and kids..

I was so hoping somehow he found a deserted cabin or ANYTHING....

Edited to say very true as I once was an EMT & Ill tell you Im sure they put thier hearts & souls into finding him....

I sure was hoping he had found a place also, being my dad and his buddies use to ride horses out of Roseburg along some rough turrain, there seemed to be something they always ran into. They just said it appeared he may have fallen down a steep hill... That was a man determined to find help.
When I thought about the mom nursing both kids it gave me chills, that 4 yo will never forget the adventure her family set out on. Let alone the holidays will never be the same for any of them.
Something else they mentioned was GPS, those devices can give you good directions, along w/ not so good of ones, just becuz it is a shorter route doesn't always mean the best. Just something for those of us that use them...

I dont need to only because CHICKEN LITTLE ME doesnt venture too far from home.
Dang like I said I was hoping but somehow when they said they Lost his track near a bad area I had this sad feeling he fell.
I mean its easy to sit here & say it was his time,& God works in odd ways but Ill tell you...Its still hard to swallowya know?

Oh man, I too have been following this story, this hurts my heart. I honestly thought he would make it, meaning they would find him in time.
