Paging Mr. Suboxman............

Just read your reply to my post on the outrageous price of Suboxone. I appreciate your reply. I think that some others that read my post misunderstood my dilema. I went CT last summer from Methadone and was hospitilized in an extremly dangerous condition. I was bleeding internally from vomiting so much for so long (dry heaving mostly since I was empty) that I tore a hole in my esophagus. I also had irregular heart rythym due to the loss of electrolytes (POTASSIUM DEPLETION CAUSES THIS) and was thought to have had heart damage, as well as, a heart beating 44 beats per minute when I was sent to a hospital by ambulance (from a DETOX center) to boot, not to mention I lost 17lbs. in 20 days because I didn't eat for 25 days. I also had high blood pressure and acquired a hiatal hernia ALL OF THIS WAS FROM DETOXING. So..........thanks for the info. on Suboxone. Someone said something to the effect that I was looking for an "excuse" to not try the Suboxone when in fact I was only asking if this price of $139.50/wk. was "standard" compared to what others elsewhere are paying. The Methadone clinic here just began prescribing it last week. I don't have insurance (not even state assistance) and the drugs Im prescribed now are free since I do qualify for prescription assistance from the pharmacuitical company itself. Im now on Fentanyl, which from what I've read is just as bad as Methadone to come off of. I don't think that I'd live through another situation like I had last summer- I almost died. I was merely asking for advise not looking for an "easy way out" or sympathy. If that was the case I'd be out on the street getting a "hook up" instead of on here asking for advise.
Sub........thanks for your time and the info. on the Suboxen website.
Dear Lost.Wow it sounds like Sub would be an option for you.Yes it can run high $$$ wise.I thankfully have insurence,I dont know what Id do if I didnt.Im sorry if people got the wrong idea on here sometimes it happens. Its usually a misunderstanding & I think that ,may be the case with you. Please I hope you stick around & let us know whats going on.....mj
Molly you are right in one of your posts, you said, if people have the money to buy pain meds, with no insurance, they can afford Sub, is my thinking, but again I could be wrong. If they would just look at what they could cut out in terms of expenses, if any, amazing what one can do when they think they don't have the money, plus they can always talk to doctors, facilities regarding their finanical matter to work out a payment plan.
I have insurance too, but I know people that don't and it is tough. Especially those with Children.

Your posts are great keep writing what you know. ...

It really sucks when someone like you has to be put on another opiate.

I have insurance so I pay $50 a script + 30$ for doc appt. I am blessed. Have you looked into all the doctors in your area offering suboxene treatment.

I am not up to snuff on the different state programs but they do exist offering assistance.

I am sorry I can not really offer any other advice except to try and get on suboxene. Fenatyl is awful W/D. Do you have family who may help you support the suboxene?
