Paul, Congratulations on two years of sobriety, buddy. I'm just a little ahead of you and will have 2.5 years of sobriety on May 22, 2006. I don't think I've ever exchanged posts with you, but no matter...I just want to shout a "WOOHOO" to you!

LD - Doing okay, it's 10:00 pm on a Friday night and I haven't had to pick up a drink in over two years! Hope you are feeling better and thanks for saying Hello!

To be honest i wont try to tell you that since i put the drink down to years ago lifes fine and dandy,however that said it is 100% better than it was at the end of my drink,where i basically i was drinking 24/7,the only time i wasnt drinking was when i was asleep(if you can call it sleep) then as soon as my eyes opened i would reach for the vodka and knock myself out again.
In the end i could only get drunk from the neck down,my head just wouldnt stop racing it was a total nightmare.
Today thinks are not like that,i can look people in the eye when i have a conversation i dont shake dry wretch wet the bed or have panic anxiety attacks for no reason,i can also sit in a crowded meeting room instead of hiding in the toilets till the meeting is over.
I still suffer anxiety attacks now and again but there is usually a reason why i'm having them which is not too bad as when i was on the sauce i was having them constantly.
So generally lifes good.
