Thank you Lisa. It will be a very peaceful day for my husband and I as it's only the two of us this year for Thanksgiving. We did get a call from our son that's in rehab. He's still in the transition phase but they let them call since it's a holiday. He's doing pretty good but it's only been 3 days. He feels nervous and completely out of his element but knows that if he's open to it, great things can happen. I'm thankful today that he is there and I pray that God will take care of the rest.

Happy Thanksgiving Michelle. Been thinking about you today. I'm hoping good things will happen for your son now that he's in rehab. It's been a long journey to get him this far. Happy Thanksgiving to you too! It was very quiet for us this year too. I made turkey and the works even though it was just us. Our daughter posted a video on Facebook of Teddy eating his first pumpkin pie. He loved it! I'm not sure how much went in his mouth and how much got everywhere else though, lol! My daughter isn't big on cooking so they went to a buffet.
My son does seem to be in a good frame of mind and actually talked to his dad today when he called too. Time will tell but at least he's been clean long enough now because of jail that I think he'll give this an honest try.
Did your daughter have dinner with you?
I started back to work this week. I wish I could say I'm doing better but not much. I had an epidural steroid injection yesterday. They can't really say why I'm still having pain, at least not until I'm about a year out. It's disappointing but my pain doctor has hopes that I'll get to a manageable level of pain (sounds great, doesn't it?) I'm only on one medication, Lyrica, for the nerve pain. I'll keep you updated.

Hi Shell, I'm happy everything is calming down with your son and that's great he spoke to his dad. It's all a good step forward. Fingers crossed!! My daughter was with us for dinner today and it was nice. I know she's lying about going to NA meetings but I'm not asking her anything about it. I'll wait and see what happens. But she did look sober, so that's good! That was cute showing Teddy eating his pie. That must have been so funny! I can just imagine pie everywhere. Haha! It will be fun shopping for him. So many cute outfits out there for kids. I still love shopping for my grand daughter. I'm sorry to read your back hasn't healed yet. I would be so mad at that doctor. Why can't he find out what's wrong? He's the doctor!! It's a shame you had to get a shot after all you've been through. I just hope it heals better and quicker than in a year.
