I hope everyone is having a peaceful day today. I just can't say Merry or Happy because there isn't much good about our situations about now, but I wish for peace for all of us
The holiday was a little more peaceful. The gym was closed so the alkie had no reason to drink extra sports drinks in the morning although he got up after 12 from the night before. He was fairly calm after his first meal. The alcohol seem to mellow him last night. Today gym open and he's charged up and still chugging sports drinks and caffeinated diet soda which equals agitation and short temper.
Yes, our son isn't speaking to us so our's was peaceful too. I have to say, I am so happy I found this group. It does help to know that many others are going thru the same struggle with the people we'd give our right arm to.....
My son is doing well a little better right now, so I tried to live in the moment, with the realization it may not last. No matter how I try to prepare, it always hurts when the "friends" show back up and off they go. I am really trying to stay as centered as possible and stay off the roller coaster.
