Hi... I have a son that's using Herion.
I threw him out when I found out and
We haven't really talked since November.
I ask my mom about him because she keep in contact
With him. She told me it don't look like he is using.
But me its hard for me to believe it.
Well he called me last night and told me
That everything that's is happening to him
And that family members don't wa nothing
To do with him is his fault.
He told me he haven't been using. I want
To believe him but it's just hard.
He is in Miami and he said the person he
Was staying with got thrown out, so he don't
Have no where to go.
I don't know what to do .... I'm here in Orlando
And I'm hurting cus my son is in the street.
Where I live I can't have anyone live with me
But my daughter told me not to take him I
But I feel bad and scare for him out in the
Streets. Please if any parents out there that's
Going threw this with there child
Please give me advice

You are not alone, in being the parent of an addicted child and not knowing how to help, or how not to enable.
There are 2 organizations I can think of that may help you: Al Anon or NAR Anon. These are famiy support programs for codependents (family members of a loved one who are alcoholics or addicts).
