Hi, everyone
I'm here asking once again for your prayers. My daughter Christina (who is due the end of May or beginning of June) had the preliminary sugar test in the doctor's office, and the results "weren't so good" as she was told. They want her to go for the 3-hour tests on Tuesday. Please keep her and her baby (little Brandon) in your prayers. Thanks so much!
Love,
Susan
Hi Susan,
I am so, so sorry. Your daughter, and baby are in my prayers. Right now, and tomorrow at Mass.
The Glucose Tolerance test I guess she needs. I think that's the long one. May is not too far away. Have they said the baby is big? Just wondering.
Know I am praying, and thinking of you. Your a good gram, and a wonderful mom. Please let us know how your daughter makes out. Prayers going up.

Thanks, Bryn. They say that she is measuring the right size for how far she is in her pregnancy but my daughter feels like there's no more room in the inn! She said that she didn't feel so "full" with her first one. She is carrying him all out in front like a basketball. She hasn't gained too much...kind of an average amount. When I was pregnant, they said I was borderline but not diagnosed with gestational diabetes. They didn't restrict my diet or anything...just watched my weight. I didn't gain much at all with my first 2 babies...only 8 1/2 lbs. with my first and 11 lbs. with my second but my babies were 8 lbs. and 9 lbs. 1 oz because I was 22 and 19 days late. They don't let you go that late anymore! My third one I think I gained about 25 lbs and she was 8 1/2 lbs and 13 days late. lol I think being late is my destiny!
I hope all is well with you. :)
Love,
Susan

Hi, everyone
Christina went for her doctor's appointment today. She was told that her 3 hour blood sugar test was PERFECTLY NORMAL! She was also told that her white blood count is still a little low (80) and most anesthesiologists (sp?) won't give them to anyone with a count lower than 100, but they said it's not dangerous to her unless it drops to 20. That was a relief too. Thanks so much for all your prayers and encouraging words. Now we just have to pray her through a safe delivery and a healthy baby. We sure have a LOT of reasons to pray these days, don't we? lol

Dear Bryn,
What's funny is that they say once you have those fat cells you battle being overweight all your life. My thinnest baby and thinnest toddler was Juliet and she's the one that has to battle weight the most. My other two were little chubby babies and pudgy toddlers. My daughter wears a 4 or a 6 at the most. Heck she could zip a fleece jacket that's a size small at 7 months pregnant! lol My son wears a 31 or 32 waist pants. Go figure!
Thanks for the prayers for Christina and Brandon. I am so thankful for some good news!
