Positive Quote For The Day :)

"Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinion of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth."
Katherine Mansfield

Today I am concentrating on the risks that I take each time I try to "act" like a normie. Yet know inside that which makes me an addict with out crossing that line of ignoring what I am. I will risk the judgements that come with my desiese in "acting as if" I am a normie with all the rights and privelages that a normie posess. I am worth the risk! I will face my truths.

Love,
Jane

Jane,

We're human beings and addict or not, we have the same rights as all human beings. The following are the first three articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

Article 1: All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Article 2: Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

Article 3: Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

I was just talking to someone today about perceived self-worth and how some of us settle for less than we should because we don't feel like we deserve happiness. Happiness certainly isn't guaranteed anyone, but we have the same rights as anyone else to pursue our dreams, our goals, our individual ideas of happiness. Having our disease doesn't negate those inalienable rights.

Thanks for reminding me of that today. (BTW, Katherine Mansfield is one of my favorite Kiwi writers.)

Gina
Gina! There you go again. How can you never fail to surprise me with your knowledge, but it is more. You can click back to something you've read or learned and hit on my exact thoughts. I tend to write out just what I am thinking of today with a quote that fits the bill. Then you chime in with wisdom that amazes me.

Thank you
Jane
