I hope I can keep this up but just for today here is another positive quote:
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.
Albert Einstein
In recovery we learn from our mistakes then let them go. We live our program just for today and we also gain hope. Today is the day I can make a difference since past and future are non-existant. So today I will forigve myself for every mistake I've ever made and just forget about it. I will see myself as everything I would like to be and act accordingly. Staying positive.

Jane

That's a good thought for me to keep in mind, too, Jane. Chewing over my mistakes -- particularly not having been emotionally present for my children while I was in active addiction -- is the fast lane to relapse for me.
Great post! I love the quotes you're finding for us. You make recovery look like something worth having. Thank you.

Gina
Hey Gina thank you for your response sometimes when I start something like this I wonder if any one listens...lol. Any who my point on this positivity thing is to recommit to thinking more positively for the next 30 days enjoy the benefits. I hope it is contagious and everyone jumps on board with me so I appreciate your acknowledgement and hope we all can reap the rewards that come with positive thinking.
Love,
Jane :)

Very nice Jane. Thank you for that. I need to take it to heart. Forgiving myself, along with a few others (lol) is a good idea. I know I would appreciate a Positive Thought everyday! Sure is nice to see the weather turn, eh?

I think your thread is great, Jane.
I hope you keep it going.
Forgiving others isn't usually very hard for me. Forgiving myself is another story, but I'm learning. And that's all we can do in this life, keep learning.

Kat- Me too on forgiving others they are never as bad as me I guess. But I can't even count the number of times that I have had to forgive myself again. (I;ve done plenty lol) I guess most addicts feel like that. I get the added benefit of a criminal history to go along with it all. Still forgiveness is forgiveness thank god we can be forgiven huh?!?
Becks- Isn't it just beautiful today!!! Thanks for the encouragement on the positive thoughts and jumping on the bandwagon with me. Wish I was out enjoying the day only a few more hours...BTW long time no see. We must be on the board at different times. Or I am off in LA LA land. wich is entirely possible.
Much love and respect,
jane

For me,guilt gets in the way so much.I need to work on that really hard, everyday. Not major gulits, but ones big enough to have carried them around with me for a long long time.Im taking your post to heed, and going to try real hard to practice them.~KIM
