Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly.
-Robert H. Schuller
Aint it the truth. In my recovery I have started each day asking God/the Universe to make me a better person today than I was yesterday. Only I didn't remember to do it everyday at first, and there have been times I asked for different things and forgotten that, above all that was my goal. But guess what? I am still praying and trying to be a better person. So the way most of us has heard it. It's progress not perfection. Keep on keepin on.
Much love and respect,
Jane
PS. Keep it positive today! Do something.
Jane,
That's a great thought to keep in mind. I've inherited a carping sort of perfectionism from my parents which so often results in inaction. Yoga helped me get over that and the rigidity of years of ballet.
It's all about each individual's personal best, which changes from day to day. Most of all, it's about being in a place of non-judgment. I love that the yoga studios have no mirrors as it's easier just to do when you're not constantly grading how you do.
Thanks for that quote and your thoughts on it.
Love,
Gina

Nice quote, Jane.
There was an article in newsweek a while back about all of this "secret" talk.
These critics believe that you just "wish" for things, and they show up. They were critical about just thinking things, and poof it is there.
It really isn't about that at all; it is about changing your thoughts to what you want, and believing you can achieve them. You have to do ACTION to get what you want...
If your thoughts are on what you want, and you believe that you can get it, then it will show up. But the universe rewards action.
That is just my take on it, anyway.
